The men's 100 metres at the 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships were held at the QEII Stadium from 22–26 January
Rheed McCracken is an Australian Paralympic athletics competitor. He named the 2012 Junior Athlete of the Year as part of the Australian Paralympian of the Year Awards. He represented Australia at the 2012 London Paralympics, 2016 Rio Paralympics and 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, where he won three silver and two bronze medals. He will be competing at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, his fourth Games.

Ahmad Almutairi is a Kuwaiti para-sport athlete who competes as a T33 classification track and field athlete and as a wheelchair basketball player, both at national level. Despite the fact that Almutairi held the Paralympic world record for his classification in the 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m events, major world titles eluded him due to the fact that his classification was under-represented and he was forced to compete against less severely disabled athletes in the T44 class. He eventually won a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Paralympics.

The Men's 100m athletics events for the 2024 Summer Paralympics will take place at the Stade de France from 30 August to 7 September, 2024. A total of 16 events will be contested over this distance. T11 and T12 events will be hosted over three rounds, to accommodate sighted guides, while the T51 event will be held as a straight final. All other 100 metre events will consist of a first round and a final.
