The T36 classification is for athletes with athetosis, ataxia, dystonia type impairments affecting all four limbs and the trunk. [2]

At the 2016 Summer Paralympics, he won the Men's 800m T36 in a world record time of 2:02.39. He won a gold and silver medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. At the World Para Athletics Championships from 2017 to 2023, he has won 7 gold medals.

Nicaragua sent a delegation to compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7–18 September 2016. This was the Central American country's third appearance at the Summer Paralympic Games, having made its debut twelve years earlier at the 2004 Summer Paralympics. They were represented by three athletes, sprinter Jennifer Osejo, middle-distance runner and sprinter Gabriel Cuadra Holmann and powerlifter Fernando Acevedo, who all qualified for the games by achieving the minimum qualifying standard in international competition. Neither Holmann or Osejo claimed a medal in their respective events and Acevado finished fifth in the men's −72kg powerlifting class.

Mohammad Ridzuan bin Mohamad Puzi is a Paralympic athlete from Malaysia who competes in T36 classification sprint (running) and long jump events. Mohammad Ridzuan represented Malaysia at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he won the gold medal in the 100 metres event.

Shi Yiting is a Chinese para athlete. She has impaired muscle movement in her left arm and different lengths in both of her legs. She won four gold medals at the Summer Paralympics and six gold medals at the World Para Athletics Championships.
