The Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame was established by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport "to give recognition to those who have brought greatness to motor sport in all its many disciplines, over the entire history of the sport in Australia." [1] The Hall of Fame is strongly supported by Motorcycling Australia (MA), Karting Australia, the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA), Speedway Australia, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation and V8 Supercars. [2] The Hall of Fame will cover motor racing, motorcycling, rallying, off road, drag racing, karting and speedway. [1]

Motorcycling Australia is the governing body for motorcycle racing in Australia, covering road racing, motocross, trials, supercross, dirt track, supermoto and speedway. Motorcycling Australia is affiliated with the international governing body, Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), based in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Australian National Drag Racing Association, or ANDRA for short, is the primary drag racing sanctioning body in Australia. The organisation was created in 1973 from a more drag racing oriented faction of the Australian Hot Rod Federation. Today the ANDRA sanctions races throughout Australia and throughout the year at all levels, from Top Fuel to Junior Dragster.
The Hall of Fame Committee comprises respected members of all disciplines within the sport plus experienced journalists with a strong knowledge of motor sport's history and its participants. [1] In March 2016, there were 30 inaugural inductees into the Fame. [2] In 2017 another 20 inductees were added to the HoF. [3] Twenty-one new members were inducted in 2018. Thirteen have been named for 2019, including a few high-profile sprint car and Supercars champions.

Jason Bargwanna is an Australian motor racing driver. Best known as a Supercars Championship competitor, Bargwanna raced in the series for 15 years, the pinnacle of which was winning, with Garth Tander, the 2000 Bathurst 1000 in a Garry Rogers Motorsport prepared Holden Commodore VT. Bargwanna was the Driving Standards Observer for the Supercars Championship from 2014 until 2016 and on the Karting Australia Events and Sporting Committee.

Christopher "Chris" Constantine Economaki was an American motorsports commentator, pit road reporter, and journalist. Economaki was given the title "The Dean of American Motorsports Journalism." Microsoft chose Economaki to author the auto racing history portion of its Encarta Encyclopedia.

Hidden Valley Raceway is part of the Hidden Valley Motorsports Complex, located at 171 Hidden Valley Road Hidden Valley, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. The Hidden Valley Motorsports Complex includes a 1 km drag racing track, the 400 m long Northline Speedway, a Dirt Track Speedway circuit, motorcross tracks and a go-kart circuit. Hidden Valley Raceway holds an annual round of the International V8 Supercars Championship.
Wakefield Park Raceway is a 2.2 km (1.4 mi) motor racing circuit located near Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia. It is named after Charles Cheers Wakefield, the founder of Castrol Oil. The founder of Wakefield Park, amateur racer and former motor dealer, Paul Samuels felt that Castrol had been so influential in helping amateurs go motor racing that CC Wakefield should be honoured, especially as Samuels' circuit was intended for amateur racers in the likelihood in the 1990s of both Amaroo and Oran Park Raceways closing and amateur racers being unable to afford the daily hire rate at Eastern Creek Raceway.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum is an automotive museum on the grounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana, United States, which houses the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame. It is intrinsically linked to the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400, but it also includes exhibits reflecting other forms of motorsports, passenger cars, and general automotive history. In 2006, it celebrated its 50th anniversary. The museum foundation possesses several former Indianapolis 500-winning cars, and they are regularly rotated onto the display floor exhibits.
The Super3 Series is an Australian motor racing competition for touring cars. It is effectively a third tier series for Supercars competitors. While the vehicles and the series itself is not officially associated with V8 Supercars and its teams and series, the cars must be deregistered cars from official V8 Supercar teams and series. This is mainly as a preventative measure against a team building a brand new car to suit the regulations. The series is currently known by the commercial identity of the Kumho Tyres V8 Touring Car Series.
