[5] The series originally had only two matches scheduled, but a third match was added to the series after the completion of the first T20I. [6] [7]
Bangladesh won the first T20I by 27 runs, [8] helped by Parvez Hossain Emon's maiden T20I century. [9] United Arab Emirates leveled the series by winning the second T20I by 2 wickets, [10] [11] which was their first win over Bangladesh in the format. [12] [13] United Arab Emirates won the third and final T20I by 7 wickets, [14] winning the series 2–1.
