Bangley is a hamlet [1] in the Lichfield District in Staffordshire, England. It is close to the town of Fazeley and village of Mile Oak where it forms part of the civil parish of Fazeley.
Bangley was once a township and constituent part of the town of Fazeley. [2] It remains part of the parish of Fazeley and is centred around different parts of Bangley such as:
*Lower Bangley [3] [4] - This small part of Bangley is made up "Lower Bangley Farm" and farm fields. [5]
*Bangley Park [6] [7] - Historically a part of the manor of Drayton Bassett, which was owned by the Peel family.
Today, Bangley is mostly made up of residential estates and small businesses, with the nearby amenities being in nearby Mile Oak, Fazeley, Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield.
Directly south of Bangley, is the ongoing-High Speed 2 rail works on Sutton Road. [8] This is currently under construction to complete a link between Birmingham International to Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly via a new rail link via Fazeley and Lichfield to the West Coast Main Line. [9]
Bagley is served by a regular bus service, operated by Arriva named "Sapphire" (Route 110). It serves the hamlet near both "French Avenue", "George Avenue" and "Gainsborough Drive". [10] The nearest railway station is Wilnecote in nearby Wilnecote.
