Bellefonte is a borough in, and the county seat of, Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is approximately twelve miles northeast of State College and is part of the State College, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. The borough population was 6,187 at the 2010 census. It houses the Centre County Courthouse, located downtown on the diamond. Bellefonte has also been home to five of Pennsylvania's governors, as well as two other governors. All seven are commemorated in a monument located at Talleyrand Park.
The Bald Eagle and Spring Creek Navigation Company was a canal company in central Pennsylvania intended to link the iron industry of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, with the Pennsylvania canal system. Opened for half its length in 1837, the remainder of the canal was not completed until 1848. Destroyed by flooding in 1865, it was not rebuilt; a paralleling railroad completed that year replaced it.

Altoona Armory is a historic National Guard armory located at Logan Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania. The main armory building was built in 1938, and was an "I"-plan building in the Moderne style. The front section housed administrative functions and the rear was the former two-story stable area for the cavalry unit. Between these sections was the riding hall, which had a round arched roof. It was one of nine armories built in Pennsylvania between 1912 and 1938. Demolished.
Tyrone Armory is an historic National Guard armory located at Tyrone, Blair County, Pennsylvania. It was built between 1912 and 1918, and is an "I"-plan building built of Medina sandstone in the Late Gothic Revival style. The two-story front section houses administrative functions, and the rear is the former stable area. Between these sections is the drill hall, which has a hipped roof.
Bellefonte Historic District is a national historic district located at Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania. The district encompasses 296 contributing buildings in the central business district and surrounding residential area of Bellefonte. The oldest building in the district is the Col. James Dunlop House dated to 1795. Notable non-residential buildings include the St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Crider Exchange (1889), Temple Court Building (1894), First National Bank Building, W.F. Reynolds and Co. Bank Building, and Pennsylvania Railroad Station. Located in the district and listed separately are the Brockerhoff Hotel, Centre County Courthouse, Gamble Mill, McAllister-Beaver House, and Miles-Humes House. The Bellefonte Academy and the Bush House Hotel were previously listed on the register until they burned to the ground in 2004 and 2006, respectively.
Brockerhoff Hotel is a historic hotel located at Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1866, and is a large brick building on a stone foundation, measuring 170 feet by 60 feet. The original building was executed in the Italianate style. It was renovated in the 1880s to have a mansard roof in a combined Second Empire / Queen Anne style. The roof features multicolored slate. The building was built by Henry Brockerhoff (1794-1878), who also built the Brockerhoff Mill.

Bellefonte Academy was a historic school building located at Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania. The original building was built in 1805, as a two-story, rectangular limestone building. It was enlarged between 1839 and 1845, with the addition of two bays and wings to the north and south. After a fire in 1904, the building was rebuilt with the addition of a third story and the addition of a portico with six Tuscan order columns and Classical Revival style details. The wings were enlarged in 1913. Also on the property was the headmaster's house.

It was built in 1909, and is a "T"-shaped, two-story, three-bays wide and nine-bays deep, castle-like building in the Romanesque Revival style. The front section is the flat-roofed administration building, with a gable roofed drill hall behind. It front facade features a central arched entrance with a five-sided, two-story bay window on the right side.

The rectangular building consists of an administration building with attached drill hall in the Colonial Revival style. The building is constructed of brick and features a crenelated parapet. The administration building has a flat roof and drill hall a gable roof. It was designed by noted armory architect Joseph F. Kuntz.
