Bengal Warriorz (BEN) is a professional kabaddi team based in Kolkata, West Bengal that plays in the Pro Kabaddi League. [1] In 2019, they won the trophy for the first time by defeating Dabang Delhi. [2] The team is currently led by Fazel Atrachali and coached by Prashant Surve. The team play their home matches at the Netaji Indoor Stadium.
Bengal Warriorz are owned by Future Group, promoted by Kishore Biyani. [3] The team had poor campaign in the first two seasons. The team's performance, however improved from the third season as they qualified for the playoffs in 2016. [4] But again after a disappointing season in the 2016 Pro Kabaddi League season (June), they totally revamped their squad. After that, the team has consistently qualified for the playoffs in 2017, 2018 and in 2019 respectively. [5] [6] [7] In 2019, they qualified to the PKL final for the first time in their history by beating U Mumba in The Arena. [8] In the final, against Dabang Delhi, they were trailing on 3–11 at one stage. [9] However they made a strong comeback and won the final by a 39-34 margin without their captain Maninder Singh who sustained a shoulder injury in the penultimate league stage. Thus they clinched their first ever PKL title. [10] [11]

Pro Kabaddi League or abbreviated to PKL is an Indian men's professional Kabaddi league. It was launched in 2014 and is broadcast on Star Sports. It is the most popular kabaddi league in the world. It is also the second most watched sports league in India after the Indian Premier League (IPL). Puneri Paltan are the current champions of PKL.
Bengaluru Bulls (BGB) is a professional kabaddi team based in Bengaluru that plays in the Pro Kabaddi League. The team were champions in Season 6 and are led by Pardeep Narwal and coached by Randhir Singh. The team is owned by Ashwin Mallaya Ullal from Mangalore. Bulls play their home matches at the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium. Bulls are one of the most successful teams in PKL history after winning the trophy for the first time by defeating the Gujarat FortuneGiants in the 2018–19 season. The team was also the runner-up to U Mumba in 2015 and reached the semifinals in the inaugural 2014 season.

Maninder Singh is an Indian professional Kabaddi player who plays for the India national kabaddi Team. He is the captain and lead raider of Bengal Warriors In the Pro Kabaddi League. Maninder is regarded as one of the best raiders in the league. He led Bengal Warriors to their maiden PKL trophy in 2019.

His speedy raiding and consistency makes him one of the best raiders in the league. He was part of the Indian Kabaddi team that won the gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games. India defeated Iran 33-29 in a controversial final.
