Bintang (means Star in English) is the 24-hour Malay language channel which broadcasts Indonesian programmes. This channel was formerly called Astro Aruna, which previously available on the Astro satellite television service. This channel is only available on Astro in the Indo Pek package. Most of the programmes are available in Malay subtitles.

The channel is a collaboration between Astro and Trans TV from Indonesia, and as such, Trans TV programs comprises for 80% of the channel's contents. [1]

Indo Pek

On 11 July 2011, Astro launched a new package named Indo Pek (means "Indo Pack" in English), which contains 2 new Astro channels named Bintang (Channel 141 on Astro) and Pelangi (Channel 142 on Astro).

Bintang has the best variety and lifestyle of Indonesia, such as reality shows, football league, music videos, celebrity gossip, and many more.

Now Bintang focus more Indonesia drama and movie that move from Pelangi. Starting 23 May 2020, Bintang was ceased transmission and replaced by Astro Aura HD on Channel 113.

8TV is a Malaysian Chinese-language free-to-air television network focused on the Chinese community of Malaysia. Its programming consists of mostly dramas, sitcoms, and reality shows made in Chinese, either produced in Malaysia or imported from other countries, such as Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Singapore and occasionally Thai and Korean drama for Malay viewers.

TV9 is a Malaysian free-to-air television network, launched on 22 April 2006 as a subsidiary of Media Prima Berhad. It formerly existed as Channel 9, which began airing on 9 September 2003 and was closed on 1 February 2005 due to financial difficulties faced by the operator.

The media of Brunei are strictly controlled by the government under Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, which has effectively imposed martial law in the country since the Brunei Revolt of 1962. News coverage consists of police-beat reporting, lifestyle features and community events, with little in the way of diverse viewpoints. Radio Television Brunei is the state broadcaster of Brunei. Radio Brunei made its first broadcast on 2 May 1957, with a television service starting on 1 March 1975. The network's logo was based from the national emblem of Brunei.
