The blue-throated brown sunbird (Cyanomitra cyanolaema) is a species of bird in the family Nectariniidae.
It is widespread across the African tropical rainforest.

More recently taxonomists have divided the Nectarinia into eight genera which are now considered distinct from Nectarinia: Leptocoma, Anabathmis, Chalcomitra, Cinnyris, Cyanomitra, Dreptes, Anthobaphes, and Drepanorhynchus.
