Cerambyx is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae. They are commonly known as capricorn beetles, as their strong, stout and curved antennae, each segment of which flares towards the tip, are reminiscent of the horns of an Alpine Ibex or "capricorn".
Lepturinae, the lepturine beetles, is a subfamily of the longhorn beetle family (Cerambycidae), containing about 150 genera worldwide. This lineage is most diverse in the Northern Hemisphere. Until recently the subfamily Necydalinae was included within the lepturines, but this has been recently recognized as a separate subfamily. Nine tribes are usually recognized today, with a tenth, Caraphiini, created in 2016. A few genera are of uncertain placement within the subfamily.
Eburia is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae.
Solenoptera is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae. As of 2018, it contains the following species:
Neoclytus is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae. They measure 4-20 mm. There are 93 species in the New World.
Stromatium is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Trichrous is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Ancylocera is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Sternacanthus is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:
Cosmisoma fasciculatum is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Guillaume-Antoine Olivier in 1795 and can be found in French Guiana and north central Brasil.
Xystrocera globosa, commonly known as the Lebbek borer, is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Guillaume-Antoine Olivier in 1795. It is distributed widely in southern and southeast Asia, as well as Australasia, and has been introduced to other parts of the world.
Oreodera lateralis is a species of long-horned beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It is found in Porto Rico, Cuba and Panama.
Brachyleptura champlaini is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Casey in 1913.
Brachyleptura circumdata is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Guillaume-Antoine Olivier in 1795. The beetle is noted as being smaller than other members of its genus at 7-10mm. As larvae, they feed upon spruce and possibly pine. They are most active in June-July.
Brachyleptura dehiscens is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by John Lawrence LeConte in 1859.
Brachyleptura pernigra is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Linell in 1897.
Brachyleptura vagans is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Guillaume-Antoine Olivier in 1795.
Ceroplesis aestuans is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Guillaume-Antoine Olivier in 1795. It is known from Benin, Eritrea, Cameroon, Senegal, Morocco, Togo, and Uganda.
Leuconitocris nigricornis is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Guillaume-Antoine Olivier in 1795, originally under the genus Necydalis. It is known from Tanzania, South Africa, the Central African Republic, Mozambique, Uganda, Malawi, and Zambia.
Phytoecia rufipes is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Guillaume-Antoine Olivier in 1795. It has a wide distribution in Europe and the Middle East. It feeds on Foeniculum vulgare.
