Bradford B. Briner (born 1976/1977) [1] is an American politician from North Carolina. He is the North Carolina State Treasurer. He is a Republican.
Briner was born in Dallas,Texas. [2] He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Harvard Business School. [3] In March 2017,Briner and Andrew Mulderry were named co-chief investment officers of Willett Advisors,Michael Bloomberg's investment fund. [4]
With Dale Folwell not running for reelection as state treasurer in the 2024 election,Briner won the Republican nomination,defeating former North Carolina Education Lottery commissioner A.J. Daoud and Rachel Johnson. [5] [6] [7] He defeated Wesley Harris in the general election. [8] He assumed office on January 2,2025. [9]

Dale Robbins Folwell is an American politician who served as the North Carolina State Treasurer from 2017 to 2025. A Republican from Winston-Salem,North Carolina,Folwell spent four terms in North Carolina House of Representatives,including a term as speaker pro tempore from 2011 to 2013. He was head of the state's Division of Employment Security in the administration of Governor Pat McCrory from 2013 to 2015. He was elected State Treasurer in the 2016 election,taking office on January 1,2017. Folwell was reelected to a second term in 2020,defeating Democratic challenger Ronnie Chatterji. In 2024 he mounted an unsuccessful campaign to be elected governor.
