Burr is an unincorporated community in Florida Township, Yellow Medicine County, in the U.S. state of Minnesota. [1]
Burr was originally called Stanley, and under the latter name was platted by the railroad in 1886. [2] The current name is for Burr Anderson, an early settler. [2]
A post office was established as Burr in 1894; it was closed in 1953. [3]
Yellow Medicine County is a county in the state of Minnesota. Its eastern border is formed by the Minnesota River. As of the 2020 census, the population was 9,528. Its county seat is Granite Falls.
