Campbellana is a genus of moths of the Carposinidae family, containing only one species, Campbellana attenuata. This species is endemic to the Campbell Islands of New Zealand.
Campbellana and its only species C. attenuata were first described by J. T. Salmon and J. D. Bradley in 1956 using material collected by J. H. Sorensen at Campbell Island in August. [2] Campbellana was originally placed in Yponomeutidae but was transferred to Carposinidae in 1971 by John S. Dugdale. [3] The holotype of C. attenuata is held at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. [4]
C. attenuata is described by Salmon and Bradley as follows:
Expanse of the fore wings, 13 mm. Head, thorax, and fore wing medium to dark brown in the female, paler and with scattered pale ochreous scales and crest of ochreous on top of the head in the male ; antennae of female filiform, pale ochreous to creamy white, that of the male dark brown with the flagellum clothed by open whorls of extremely long fine hairs. Labial palpus pale fawn darkening to brown on terminal segment. The ventral surface and legs are paler in both sexes. Fore wings much reduced and tapering from base to apex as a long attenuated filament. Hind wings vestigial. Cilia absent from both fore and hind wings. [2]
Both the female and male adults of C. attenuata are brachypterous, that is having much reduced wings. [5]
This species is endemic to New Zealand. [6] [7] It is only found at Campbell Island. [2] [8]
Dugdale hypothesised that the larvae of C. attenuata feed on grasses, likely on the dicotyledonous stolons or rosettes. [5]
The adults of C. attenuata emerge during the colder time of the year. [5] Specimens have been collected inn August and in February. [5] This species jumps similar to a grasshopper. [2]

The preferred habitat of this species is native forest and scrub, especially where Leptospermum shrubs are found. Adults are on the wing in December and January.

It is regarded as being common species. The preferred habitat of this species is native forest, scrub, coastal areas and domestic gardens. Larvae feed on the dead leaves of Geniostoma ligustrifolium and likely other native plants. Once mature the larvae will pupate on the ground forming a silken cocoon protected by hiding inside two leaves of its host plant. Adults are nocturnal and are on the wing from October to April. They are attracted to light. In appearance the adults of this species are extremely variable but can be distinguished from similar species as all variations have forewings with blunt hook shaped tips.

Elachista eurychora is a species of moth in the family Elachistidae. This species is endemic to New Zealand and has only been collected at Paekākāriki. The habitat where the adult moth was originally collected was in rough vegetation on coastal sandhills or dunes but the collection locality has been significantly modified since that time. It has been hypothesised that the host of the larvae of this species is a grass. Adults are on the wing in March. It is classified as "Data Deficient" by the Department of Conservation.

This species inhabits damp native scrub and has been observed in upland wetlands at altitudes of between 800 and 1100 m. Adults are on the wing from November to April and are regarded as having intermedia flight powers.
Austramathes fortis is a species of moth in the family Noctuidae. It is endemic to New Zealand and is found in both the North and the South Islands but has yet to be recorded at Stewart Island. It can be found in shrubland containing its host species at a range of altitudes from sea-level up to 1840 m. The larvae of this moth feed on several Melicytus species including M. crassifolius, M. alpinus, M. macrophyllus and M. novae-zelandiae. The larvae pupate in a cocoon of silk at the base of its host plant. It can take between 25 and 45 days before the adult moth emerges. Adults can be found on the wing during the months of July to March. The adults tend to be on the wing in twilight hours but have also been known to be active during the late afternoon. They are attracted to light but this behaviour may limit the number seen at light traps. The distinguishing feature of this moth is the curved black line at the base of its forewing. This species is unlikely to be confused with any other species in its range but it is very similar in appearance to A. squaliolus. However this latter species is only found on the Chatham Islands.
