Ronald Nathan LaTour Jr. (born September 24, 1984), professionally known as Cardo Got Wings or simply Cardo, is an American record producer and rapper. [2]
Cardo was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. He then moved to Fort Worth, Texas. [3]
In 2010, Cardo was producing for Mac Miller and Chevy Woods and subsequently met Wiz Khalifa at a show in Texas through Chevy Woods and his Uncle Motor. Cardo gave Khalifa a couple of his beats, which would end up on Khalifa's Kush & Orange Juice mixtape. [4] Cardo then started producing for other artists. [5]
Cardo is the founder and CEO of the record label Everything is Gold Music (EISG). Cardo was previously a member of, and producer on, Taylor Gang Records, and is currently signed to Fool's Gold Records. [6] He has produced on many rappers' albums and singles including Curren$y, 2 Chainz, Drake, Skepta, Kendrick Lamar, Travi$ Scott, ScHoolboy Q, Meek Mill, The Game, Wiz Khalifa, R. Kelly, Jeezy, Jay Z, Frank Dukes and Swizz Beatz, among others. [7] In June 2022, he signed Atlanta rapper YoDogg to EISG, in a joint venture with Epic Records.[ citation needed ]
On December 21, 2017, Cardo and Payroll Giovanni of Detroit-based Doughboyz Cashout announced their record deal with Def Jam Records.
Cardo's professional name was derived from relatives who named him 'Ricardo' the Puerto Rican, despite being fully aware of his Caucasian and African American descent. [8]

Cameron Jibril Thomaz, better known by his stage name Wiz Khalifa, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor and entrepreneur. He signed with the local independent label Rostrum Records to release his debut studio album, Show and Prove (2006). His contract entered a short-lived joint venture with Warner Bros. Records the following year. His Eurodance-influenced 2008 single, "Say Yeah" received urban radio airplay and entered both the Rhythmic Top 40 and Hot Rap Songs charts, becoming his first minor hit.

Shante Scott Franklin, better known by his stage name Currensy, is an American rapper. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, he signed with the regionally-based labels Cash Money Records and Young Money Entertainment in the mid-2000s, although he released no albums for both. He signed with DD172 to release four albums before signing with Warner Records to release his fifth album and major label debut, Weekend at Burnie's (2011). Kevin Lee "Chevy" Woods is an American rapper and songwriter from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is best known for his affiliation with hometown native rapper Wiz Khalifa, having signed to his Taylor Gang record label as among its first signees in the late 2000s. Woods made his first major appearance on Khalifa's 2011 song "Taylor Gang," which received gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
