Chen Yu (born 8 May 1980) is a former Chinese badminton player from Nanning,Guangxi. [1]
Chen had joined the Guangxi team in 1993,and was selected to join the national team in 1998. [2] Chen won the men's singles title at the Chinese National Championships in 2002 and 2003. On the international badminton circuit he won the 2006 Thailand Open by defeating two fellow countrymen (and two fellow "Chens"),Chen Hong in the semifinals,and Chen Jin in a very close final. Outside of that victory he has had trouble breaking through,but has been runner-up in the Denmark (2003,2006),Singapore (2003,2007),and German Opens (2007),and at the prestigious All-England Championships in 2007. He was also part of the national men's team that won the 2001 Asia Cup,and at the Thomas Cup in 2004 and 2008. [3] Chen Yu received an award during a ceremony to mark his retirement with five other teammates from the Chinese national badminton team on the sidelines of the China Open badminton event in Shanghai,November 23,2008. The then 27-year-old veteran would become a coach of the national Chinese men's team. [4]

The BWF Superseries,launched on 14 December 2006 and implemented in 2007, [5] is a series of elite badminton tournaments,sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). BWF Superseries has two level such as Superseries and Superseries Premier. A season of Superseries features twelve tournaments around the world,which introduced since 2011, [6] with successful players invited to the Superseries Finals held at the year end.

Lee Hyun-il is a former badminton player from South Korea. He is a former World and Asian Championships bronze medalist, and was part of South Korean team that won the 2003 Sudirman Cup as well the gold medals at the 2002 and 2014 Asian Games.

Guo Zhendong is a badminton player from China. As of July 2010, he was ranked within the top 10 male badminton doubles teams in the world. He competed at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games.
Hwang Ji-man is a badminton player from South Korea.
Jan Østergaard Jørgensen is a Danish retired badminton player who played for SIF (Skovshoved) in the national league. He won the men's singles title at the 2014 European Championships, and was the bronze medalist at the 2015 World Championships. He joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China.
Ha Jung-eun is a women's and mixed doubles badminton player from South Korea. Ha was competed at the 2006, 2010 Asian Games, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Xu Chen is a badminton player from China. In 2010, he was ranked within the top 10 men's badminton doubles in the world. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the mixed doubles with Ma Jin, winning the silver medal. In the final they lost to Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei, also from China. Chou Tien-chen is a Taiwanese badminton player. He became the first local shuttler in 17 years to win the men's singles title of the Chinese Taipei Open in 2016 since Indonesian-born Fung Permadi won it in 1999. He won his first BWF Super Series title at the 2014 French Open, beating Wang Zhengming of China 10–21, 25–23, 21–19 in the finals. He is the record holder of three consecutive Hylo Open titles from 2012 till 2014.
