The discography of Clay Aiken, an American pop music singer, consists of six studio albums, eighteen singles, one extended play, two Double A-side CDs (B-sides) and five music videos.
After his appearance on the second season of the television program American Idol in 2003 he signed with RCA Records. His first solo album, Measure of a Man (2003), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. With 613,000 copies sold in its first week, this was the highest-selling debut for a solo artist in 10 years, [1] and to date the highest debut of any Idol. The album received a double Platinum certification from the RIAA on November 17, 2003.
Aiken's second album was a holiday album titled Merry Christmas with Love (2004), which set a new record for fastest-selling holiday album in the Soundscan era (since 1991). [2] The album debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and tied Céline Dion's record for the highest debut by a holiday album in the history of Billboard magazine. Merry Christmas with Love sold over 1,000,000 copies retail in six weeks and was the best-selling holiday album of 2004, receiving RIAA Platinum certification on Jan. 6, 2005. This album was re-released in August 2009.
His third album A Thousand Different Ways (2006) debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and his fourth album On My Way Here (2008) debuted at number four. His first four studio albums debuted in the top five on the Billboard 200.
After the release of On My Way Here, Aiken and RCA parted ways and he signed with Universal Music's Decca Records. His first album with Decca, Tried and True , was released on June 1, 2010 and debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200. [3] [4] [5] [6]

Clayton Holmes Aiken is an American singer, television personality, actor and political activist. Aiken finished second place on the second season of American Idol in 2003, and his debut album, Measure of a Man, went multi-platinum. He released four more albums on the RCA label, Merry Christmas with Love (2004), A Thousand Different Ways (2006), the Christmas EP All is Well (2006), and On My Way Here (2008). Since then he has released two more albums, both with Decca Records: Tried and True (2010) and Steadfast (2012). Aiken has also had eleven tours in support of his albums. In all, he has sold over 5 million albums, and is the fourth-highest-selling American Idol alumnus.
Ruben Studdard is an American singer and actor. He rose to fame as the winner of the second season of American Idol and received a Grammy Award nomination in 2003 for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for his recording of "Superstar". In the years following Idol, Studdard has released seven studio albums, including his platinum-selling debut, Soulful, and the top-selling gospel follow-up, I Need an Angel. He is most well known for his recording career, which has produced hits including "Flying Without Wings", "Sorry 2004", and "Change Me", but he has also segued into television and stage work. Most notably, he starred as Fats Waller in a national tour revival of Ain't Misbehavin', which spawned a Grammy-nominated soundtrack.

"This Is the Night" is the debut single of American Idol second season contestant Clay Aiken, written by Chris Braide, Aldo Nova, and Gary Burr. It was released on June 10, 2003, on the RCA label, simultaneously with "Flying Without Wings" by rival contestant Ruben Studdard. It became the 11th song in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to debut at number one on that chart, restricting "Flying Without Wings" to the number-two position.
Some Hearts is the debut studio album by American singer and songwriter Carrie Underwood, released on November 14, 2005, by Arista Nashville. The album contains the number one country singles "Jesus, Take the Wheel", "Don't Forget to Remember Me", "Wasted", and "Before He Cheats". In the United States, it debuted at number ten on the Billboard 200 with sales of 119,000 copies in the first week. The album has sold over 3 million copies worldwide and is her best-selling album. Sparks supported the album with the As I Am Tour and Jesse & Jordin LIVE Tour. David Cook is the first major-label studio album, second overall from seventh season American Idol winner David Cook, released on November 18, 2008, in the United States by RCA Records. It was certified platinum and has sold over one million copies in the United States. It has produced two top twenty singles, "Light On" and "Come Back To Me". The single "The Time of My Life" has also been certified platinum by the RIAA. "Light On" was certified platinum in January 2010.
Leave This Town is the second album by the American rock band Daughtry, released on July 14, 2009, by RCA Records. It is the first album that they recorded as a band, as their self-titled debut album was recorded before the band was formed and only lead singer Chris Daughtry was signed to the label. It was also their last album to feature Joey Barnes on drums. The album's style is primarily arena rock, with influences ranging from hard rock to pop rock.
Play On is the third studio album by American country music singer Carrie Underwood. It was released in the United States on November 3, 2009, through Arista Nashville. Play On was produced by Mark Bright who also produced Underwood's Carnival Ride and seven other songs off of Some Hearts.
American singer Adam Lambert has released five studio albums, one live album, five compilation albums, six extended plays, twenty-five singles, and thirteen music videos. As of January 2011, he had sold 1.2 million albums and 4.2 million singles worldwide.
American Idol 10th Anniversary – The Hits is a compilation album that includes hits from several American Idol winners and former contestants, celebrating the tenth anniversary of the show. Clay Aiken, Daughtry, and Adam Lambert are the only artists included on the album who have not won the title. The album was released on March 15, 2011 via 19 Recordings and RCA Records. It debuted at number 136 on the Billboard 200, selling approximately 4,000 copies in its first week.
