The Clean Harbors 250 is a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Richmond Raceway. The race was initially held from 1995 to 2005 before being removed from the schedule in 2006. The race returned to the Truck Series schedule 14 years later in 2020. [1] In the race's first stint on the Truck Series schedule, it was 200 laps. When it returned in 2020, the distance was 250 laps.

In 2020, NASCAR removed the spring Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway in favor of a race at Richmond Raceway in the spring. This schedule change was done in a swap with Martinsville, which previously had two Truck Series races and zero Xfinity Series races and would now have one Truck Series race and one Xfinity Series race. As a result, the Xfinity Series would lose their spring race at Richmond in favor of a race at Martinsville in the fall. In its first year back on the schedule in 2020, the Truck Series race at Richmond would be moved to September due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The race would be held as scheduled in April in 2021. In 2022, the race was moved to August. Worldwide Express would become the title sponsor of the race as Toyota moved their title sponsorship to the track's one Xfinity Series race (replacing GoBowling.com as the title sponsor of that race). The ToyotaCare 250 was a NASCAR Xfinity Series race that takes place at Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Virginia. The race was first held during the inaugural season for the Xfinity Series in 1982 as a 150-lap event. The race was removed from the schedule after 1984. It returned to the series starting in 1990 as a 200 lap race. It was expanded to 250 lap distance in 1994. In 2016, as part of an overhauling of the Richmond spring race weekend, including the new Dash4Cash format, the total of 210-laps and had two 35-lap heat races and a 140-lap feature. In 2017, the heat races were discontinued, and the race returned to its 250-lap distance with the new stage format: stages 1 and 2 were 75 laps long, and stage 3 made up the remaining 100 laps.

The 2020 Toyota 200 was a NASCAR Xfinity Series race held on May 21, 2020—postponed from May 19, 2020 due to weather—at Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina. On October 15, 2012, NASCAR and the Fox Sports Media Group (FSMG) announced a new $2.4 billion eight-year deal, a 30% increase from their previous deal. On July 23, 2013, NASCAR and the NBC Sports Group announced a new $4.4 billion ten-year deal. Ten days later on August 1, 2013, NASCAR and Fox extended and expanded their agreement, paying an additional $1.4 billion to do so, to complete NASCAR's new TV package through the 2024 season. NBC reportedly bid over 50% more than ESPN and Turner for their portion of the package, despite Turner and ESPN expressing interest about continuing their relationship with NASCAR.

The 2020 ToyotaCare 250 was the 16th stock car race of the 2020 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season, the 12th iteration of the event, and the final race of the regular season, therefore making the race the cutoff race to get into the Playoffs. Originally to be held on April 18, 2020, the race was postponed to Thursday, September 10, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The race was held in Richmond, Virginia at Richmond Raceway, a 0.75 miles (1.21 km) permanent D-shaped oval racetrack. It took 250 laps to complete. At race's end, Grant Enfinger of ThorSport Racing would pass Matt Crafton with seven to go to win the race, the 5th NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series win of his career and the 3rd of the season. To fill the podium, Matt Crafton and Ben Rhodes, both driving for ThorSport Racing, finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
