Courtney Crone (born March 7, 2001) [1] is an American racing driver currently competing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America with World Speed Motorsports. She previously competed in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge and the USAC Western Midget Series.
Crone started racing in quarter midgets in 2005, at just four years old. At age 11 she started racing Junior Speedway, winning three track championships in the 150cc Motorcycle class before stepping up to the 250cc class. [2] Crone won the 2016 Perris Auto Speedway Young Guns Championship in Sprint Cars with six wins. She was also the 2016 USAC Western States Midget Rookie of the Year, ending the season in 5th after making 14 feature race starts. [3] In 2017 she made 4 feature race starts in the USAC National Midget Series.
In 2016 Crone won 3 Formula Mazda races in her 3 starts. She was also selected as a Women’s Motorsports Foundation Project Podium recipient by IndyCar driver Lyn St. James. [4]
Crone was awarded the 2017 VMB Driver Development Racing Scholarship, which gave her an opportunity to race in the Formula Car Challenge. [4] She placed 3rd in the FormulaSPEED class, with 13 podiums in 14 starts. [5] In 2018 she continued in the series, this time winning the championship. She was then invited to compete in the Mazda Road to Indy Shootout, aiming for a scholarship into the USF2000 Championship. [6] She was also one of ten drivers nominated for the Team USA Scholarship. [7]
Crone was invited to the shootout for both the 2019 and 2020 seasons of the W Series, but was not selected to race in either. [8] [9] For the 2019 Formula F season, Crone raced with Brad Hayes Racing, winning 2 races and earning a podium finish in all four of her starts. [10] She also contested the final round of the Formula 4 United States Championship with World Speed Motorsports. [11] In 2020 she finished 4th in the Formula Pro USA F4 Championship. [12] She had 3 podiums, 1 fastest lap, and 1 win. [13]
In 2024 she returned to single-seaters to race in the second round of F1 Academy, competing as a wildcard entry for Prema Racing. [14] Crone got her first experience in the car during in-season testing at Zandvoort, before going on to finish 14th and 11th at the races in Miami. [15]
Crone shifted focus to prototypes in 2021, racing in the IMSA Prototype Challenge, where she finished eighth with 3 top-10 finishes. In the same year she received the Gorsline Scholarship, joining notable past recipients such as Buddy Rice and Josef Newgarden. [16] She moved to Jr III Racing for the 2022 season, where she finished sixth with a best race finish of 5th. [17]
In 2023 Crone contested the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, which replaced the Prototype Challenge as a championship. She was awarded the 2023 IMSA Diverse Driver Development Scholarship, after being a finalist in 2022. [18] She finished the season in 4th, with 6 podiums to her name. [19] She also competed overseas for the first time, in the Prototype Cup Germany. She and Gabriela Jílková were the first women to compete in the series. Crone achieved two top-10 finishes in seven starts. [20]
For the 2024 season, Crone moved to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America. [21]

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is a multi-track motorsport venue located north of Bowmanville, in Ontario, Canada, approximately 75 kilometers east of Toronto. The facility features a 3.957 km (2.459 mi), 10-turn road course; a 2.9 km (1.8 mi) advance driver and race driver training facility with a 0.402 km (0.250 mi) skid pad and a 1.5 km (0.93 mi) kart track. The name "Mosport", a portmanteau of Motor Sport, came from the enterprise formed to build the track.
The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) is a North American sports car racing sanctioning body based in Daytona Beach, Florida, under the jurisdiction of the ACCUS arm of the FIA. It was started by John Bishop, a former executive director of SCCA, and his wife Peggy in 1969 with help from Bill France Sr. of NASCAR. Beginning in 2014, IMSA is the sanctioning body of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the premier series resulting from the merger of Grand-Am Road Racing and the American Le Mans Series. IMSA is owned by NASCAR, as a division of the company.

Colin James Braun is an American racing driver. He is the 2014 and 2015 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Prototype Challenge Champion and currently drives the No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06 for Meyer Shank Racing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Driving the ARX-06, he was part of the winning team of the 2023 24 Hours of Daytona. He formerly competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the Xfinity Series. He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Michael James Lewis is an American race car driver born on December 24, 1990, in Laguna Beach, California to parents Steve Lewis and Loretta Lewis. Patricio "Pato" O'Ward Junco is a Mexican professional auto racing driver who competes full-time in the IndyCar Series, driving the No. 5 Chevrolet for Arrow McLaren.
