Aurelia Corine Nobels [1] (born January 7, 2007 [1] in Boston [2] ) is a Brazilian-Belgian [3] racing driver, competing in F1 Academy. She is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy.

Career

Lower formulae

Nobels made her car racing debut in the F4 Brazilian Championship in 2022 with TMG Racing. She finished the season 16th with 7 points. [4] She also made a one-off appearance in F4 Spanish Championship. [5] She competed in one round of the F4 Danish Championship where she scored 10 points. [6]

In 2023, she competed in the Italian F4 Championship. She was supposed to start for Iron Lynx but later changed to Prema Racing. [7]

F1 Academy

For the 2024 season, she signed with ART Grand Prix to join the F1 Academy grid, with backing from Puma. [8]

Formula One

In December 2022 she won in Senior category in "Girls on Track – Rising Stars" – programme organized by the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission and was awarded a place in Ferrari Driver Academy. [7]

Personal life

Nobels was born in Boston to Belgian parents and grew up in Brazil. [1]

She has competed under the flags of both Brazil and Belgium. [6] [9] By virtue of jus soli, otherwise known as birthright citizenship, she is also a United States citizen.
