Damanab (Persian : دامناب‎, also Romanized as Dāmanāb; also known as Dāmanābād)^[1] is a village in Goyjah Bel Rural District, in the Central District of Ahar County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 161, in 28 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Goyjah Bel Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Ahar County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 5,056, in 1,025 families. The rural district has 26 villages.

The District has one city: Ahar.
