Danika Atchia is a Mauritian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Mauritius 2015 and represented her country at Miss European Union Tour 2016 pageant. Atchia attended the University of Prince Edward Island and was part of their athletics team UPEI Panthers from 2018 till 2020. [1]

Miss Mauritius 2015

June 27, 2015, Atchia was crowned as Miss Mauritius 2015 at the Club Med La Plantation d'Albion. At the same event, the 1st Runners-up was Miss World Mauritius 2015, Veronique Allas and the 2nd Runner-up became Miss International Mauritius 2015, Manjusha Faugoo. As Miss Mauritius, Danika will now represent her country at Miss European Union Tour 2016 pageant. [2]

In 2015, Danika went to Top Model of the World 2015 to represent Mauritius.[ citation needed ]

Miss World 2011, the 61st edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 6 November 2011 at the Earls Court Two in London, United Kingdom. Miss World 2016, the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 18 December 2016, at the MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Maryland, United States. 117 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Mireia Lalaguna of Spain crowned her successor Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico at the end of the event. It was the second time that the Miss World pageant held in the United States. It was the second time where Puerto Rico won Miss World, after Wilnelia Merced in 1975.

Miss Grand Mauritius is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Mauritian representatives competing at the Miss Grand International contest. The title was first awarded in 2014 to an interior designer and model, Dolesswaree Charun, and that year's licensee was Raj Ramrachia of the Miss India Mauritius pageant. However, Charun failed to qualify for the semifinal round on the international stage held in Thailand on October 7, 2014.
