Shreya Ghoshal is an Indian singer. Noted for her wide vocal range and versatility, she is one of the most prolific and influential singers of India. Often referred as the "Queen of Dynamics'' for her remarkable vocal expressions, Ghoshal is widely regarded as one of the greatest vocalists of the Indian subcontinent. She has recorded songs for films and albums in various Indian and foreign languages and received numerous accolades, including five National Film Awards, four Kerala State Film Awards, two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, two BFJA Awards, seven Filmfare Awards and ten Filmfare Awards South.
Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy is an Indian musical trio consisting of Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa. Rang De Basanti is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language epic coming-of-age socio-political action crime film written, produced, and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The film stars an ensemble cast including Aamir Khan, Siddharth, Atul Kulkarni, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor, British actress Alice Patten, and Soha Ali Khan. It follows a British film student traveling to India to document the story of five freedom fighters of the Indian revolutionary movement. She befriends and casts five young men in the film, which inspires them to fight against the evils of their own present-day government.
Aks (transl. Reflection) is an Indian 2001 Hindi-language supernatural action thriller film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Raveena Tandon, and Manoj Bajpayee in leading roles. The music was composed by Anu Malik. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and being a box office flop, it won three awards at the 47th Filmfare Awards: Best Actor — Critics (Bachchan), Special Award Performance (Tandon), and Best Sound Design (Ranjan). Bachchan and Bajpayee were nominated for the Best Actor and Best Villain at the same ceremony as well.

The title track was used at a flash mob at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai on 27 November 2011 in honour of those who died in the 26/11 attack.
Delhi-6 is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan as an NRI who arrives in India with his ailing grandmother and begins discovering his roots before getting embroiled in a religious dispute involving a mysterious monkey-like attacker. The film co-stars Sonam Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rishi Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Atul Kulkarni, Pavan Malhotra, Deepak Dobriyal, Divya Dutta, Vijay Raaz and Om Puri. It marks the Hindi film debut of Rao Hydari. The number 6 refers to the Postal Index Number (PIN) of the Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi, a shortened form of 110006. It is Mehra's third film after Aks (2001) and Rang De Basanti (2006). The film's soundtrack, composed by A. R. Rahman, was a commercial success and received positive reviews from music critics upon release.
Shilpa Rao is an Indian singer who primarily records songs in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages. During her college days, composer Mithoon offered her to record the song "Tose Naina" from Anwar (2007), marking her Hindi debut. "Abacha" from Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam (2009) and "Oru Maalai Neram" from Naan Mahaan Alla (2010) were her debut songs in Telugu and Tamil respectively.

The film is jointly produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd and Eros International. The album features fourteen tracks, and was released on 30 September 2011 by T-Series to extremely positive critical reception and hysterical response from fans, grabbing nominations and numerous music awards held in the subsequent year. The entire album topped the iTunes world charts 2011 and continued its legacy until early 2012. The Indian Express has termed the film's soundtrack 'A Milestone for Bollywood'.

There were many performances, including those by KK, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rekha Bhardwaj, Himesh Reshammiya, Usha Uthup, Shahid Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. A non-film category award was included for the first time. Delhi-6 won a leading eight awards including Album of the Year and Song of the Year for "Masakali". The show was broadcast on 21 February 2010 on Sony TV.
