The Denza N7 is a battery electric mid-size crossover SUV produced by Denza, a joint venture between Chinese manufacturer BYD Auto and Mercedes-Benz AG. The N7 was officially launched in the Chinese market in July 2023.
In August 2022, at the Chengdu Auto Show, Denza presented the Denza Inception Concept prototype heralding the second model creating a new model range after restructuring. [3] This vehicle was used extensively for the production car, which debuted in March 2023 under the name Denza N7, which took the form of an SUV Coupe with a gently sloping roofline sloping towards the rear. [4] [5]
The silhouette of the N7 has features multiple embossments and imitation air intakes, as well as retractable door handles and extensive front full LED lighting. Thanks to the use of LIDARs placed in the body structure, N7 enables semi-autonomous driving. [6] The manufacturer decided to use ports located on both sides for charging the electrical system, placing them in the rear fenders. [7]
The passenger cabin features a large center console extending towards the dashboard. It consists of three displays, with a digital clock screen in front of the driver and a second display in front of the passenger. Between them there is a large, touch screen multimedia system. [8] A system from the French company Devialet was used for its sound system. [9]
The basic electric version of the N7 powered by a 313-horsepower engine, while the top one has a power of 530 HP, both units of which are shared with the BYD Seal. [10] [11]

The F3DM is the world's first mass-produced plug-in hybrid automobile and went on sale to government agencies and corporations in China on December 15, 2008. During its first year in the market the F3DM plug-in sold only 48 vehicles. Sales to the general public began in Shenzhen in March 2010, and 417 units were sold during 2010. Cumulative sales in China reached 3,284 units through October 2013, when sales ended, and only 11 units were sold in Europe through October 2012.
Shenzhen BYD New Energy Co., Ltd., trading as Denza, is an automobile manufacturing company headquartered in Shenzhen, China, specialising in luxury electric cars and a joint venture between BYD Auto Industry and the Mercedes-Benz Group. Founded in May 2010, in late 2014 the company introduced its first model, the Denza EV. The car was initially put on sale in selected Chinese cities only. In late 2021, Denza underwent a restructuring as Mercedes-Benz reduced its share to 10%, while BYD held the rest.

Fangchengbao, also spelled Fang Cheng Bao and trademarked in English as Formula Bao is a Chinese luxury electric car brand owned by BYD Auto and marketed by Shenzhen Fangchengbao Auto Sales Co., Ltd. The brand was introduced in June 2023. It mainly produces SUVs, with products covering off-road and track-focused segments. The brand operates its own direct sales stores, in contrast with BYD that relies on a dealership network.
