Didia Dilonz Mukwala (born December 12, 1992) is a Zambian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Zambia 2019.

Pageantry

Mukwala first participated at the Miss Heritage International Zambia 2015 after she signed up to compete. She won and was given the right to represent Zambia at the Miss Heritage International 2015 in New Delhi. She made it to the Top 10 and won two awards; Best National Costume and Best Body. [1] She also competed at Miss Zambia 2015 and ended up as a finalist.

She returned to pageantry when she participated at the Miss Universe Zambia 2017 pageant. She was placed as a finalist and won Miss Personality.[ citation needed ] She competed at Miss Universe Zambia 2019 at the Intercontinental Hotel at Lusaka, Zambia where she was announced as the winner, earning the right to represent Zambia at the Miss Universe 2019 competition. In 2019 Mukwala was not able to represent Zambia at the Miss Universe Competition, but the Miss Universe Zambia Organization said that she will represent Zambia at Miss Universe in 2020. [3] [4]

Miss Russia is a national beauty pageant in Russia. It selects the Russian representatives to compete in two of the Big Four international beauty pageants: Miss World and Miss Universe.

The 14th Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Auditorio "Profr. Manuel Bonilla Valle" of Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico on October 6, 2007. Thirty-three contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Elisa Nájera from Guanajuato, who later competed in Miss Universe 2008 in Vietnam where she was the 4th Runner-up. Nájera was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Rosa María Ojeda. She is the first and only Guanajuatense to win this title.

Nuestra Belleza México 2010

The 17th annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Auditorio Parque Las Maravillas in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico on September 25, 2010. The State of Jalisco, won for the third consecutive year with Karin Ontiveros, who later competed in Miss Universe 2011 in Brazil. Ontiveros was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder and Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete. She was the fourth Jalisciense to win this Title. Thirty-one contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title.

Bokang Montjane Miss South Africa 2010, contestant in Miss Universe 2011 and Miss World 2011, Top 16 at Miss Earth 2007

Bokang Montjane is a South African model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss South Africa 2010, becoming the official representative of her country to the Miss Universe 2011 and Miss World 2011 pageants. She also participated in Miss International 2009 and placed in the Top 16 at Miss Earth 2007, finished as one of the Top 7 finalists and named Miss World Africa at Miss World 2011.

Miss World 2016 66th Miss World competition, beauty pageant edition

Miss World 2016, the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 18 December 2016 at the MGM National Harbor, Washington, D.C., United States. 117 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Mireia Lalaguna of Spain crowned her successor Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico at the end of the event. It was the second time that the Miss World pageant held in the United States. It was the second time where Puerto Rico won Miss World, after Wilnelia Merced of 1975.

Miss Universe 2019 68th edition of the Miss Universe competition

Miss Universe 2019, the 68th Miss Universe pageant, was held on December 8, 2019 at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Catriona Gray of the Philippines crowned her successor Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa at the end of the event. This is South Africa's third win after their recent victory in 2017. This edition also saw the crowning of the first black woman winner since Leila Lopes was crowned in 2011.

Miss International 2019, the 59th Miss International pageant, was held on November 12, 2019 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Bunkyo district, Tokyo, Japan. Mariem Velazco of Venezuela crowned her successor Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand at the end of the event.
