The Division of Corinella was an Australian electoral division in the state of Victoria. [1] The division was proclaimed in 1900, and was one of the original 65 divisions to be contested at the first federal election. It was abolished in 1906. It was named for the Corinella gold mining district in central Victoria and was based on the town of Castlemaine.

Alan Peter Griffin is a former Australian politician of the Australian Labor Party. He was a member of the Australian House of Representatives, representing the Division of Corinella between 1993 and March 1996, and the Division of Bruce, from March 1996 until May 2016.

Sir George Turner was an Australian politician. He served two terms as Premier of Victoria, holding office from 1894 to 1899 and 1900 to 1901 as a liberal. After Federation he was invited by Edmund Barton to join the inaugural federal ministry, becoming the first Treasurer of Australia. He held office until 1904 under Barton and Alfred Deakin, then a few months later resumed office under George Reid. The government fell in 1905 and Turner retired from politics at the 1906 election.

It was located in the outer south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne and parts of western Gippsland. It included the suburbs of Carrum Downs, Cranbourne and Keysborough and the town of Wonthaggi.
