The Division of Watson was an Australian Electoral Division in the state of New South Wales. It was located in the inner southern suburbs of Sydney, and originally included the suburbs of Coogee, Kensington and Maroubra. By the time it was abolished in 1968, it covered the suburbs of Banksmeadow, Mascot and Redfern.

The Division was named after Hon Chris Watson, the first Labor Prime Minister of Australia. It replaced his old seat of South Sydney, and was proclaimed at the redistribution of 1 August 1934. It was abolished at the redistribution of 21 November 1968.

He was the first Prime Minister from the Australian Labour Party, and led the world's first Labour Party government, indeed the world's first socialist or social democratic government, at a national level. From paternal German and maternal British ancestry, he is the only Australian Prime Minister not born in a Commonwealth country.

After the redistribution of 31 January 1992, the Division of St George was abolished, and a new Division of Watson was created. That Division is not connected to this one, except in name.

The Division of St George was an Australian Electoral Division in the state of New South Wales. It was located in the southern suburbs of Sydney, and covered the suburbs of Hurstville, Rockdale and Arncliffe.

The Division of Watson is an Australian electoral division in the state of New South Wales. The division was created at the redistribution of 31 January 1992, to replace the abolished Division of St George and is named after the Right Honourable Chris Watson, the first Labor Prime Minister of Australia. It was first contested at the 1993 federal election.

The Division of Sydney is an Australian electoral division in the state of New South Wales.

Waverley was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales, originally created in 1894, with the abolition of multi-member constituencies, out of part of Paddington, and named after and including the Sydney suburb of Waverley. In 1920, with the introduction of proportional representation, it was absorbed into Eastern Suburbs. Waverley was recreated in 1927. In 1959 parts of Waverly and Paddington were combined to form Paddington-Waverley, which was abolished in 1962 and replaced by Bligh. In 1971, Bondi and Randwick were abolished and partly replaced by a recreated Waverley. At the 1990 redistribution, Waverley was abolished again and absorbed into Coogee and Vaucluse.
