Miller, and Kristen Wiig. The story takes place in Berk, a mythical Viking village; Hiccup, an undersized teen wishing to become a dragon slayer like the other Vikings, injures a rare Night Fury dragon but is unable to bring himself to kill it. He instead helps and befriends the dragon, and quickly discovers that things are not exactly as they seem in the conflict between Vikings and dragons.

Based on the 3D computer-animated comedy musical film of the same name, the show premiered on Netflix on January 19, 2018, in the United States and takes place between the events of the first film and the sequel, Trolls World Tour. Amanda Leighton, Skylar Astin, Kari Wahlgren, Sam Lerner, David Kaye, David Fynn, Sean T. Krishnan, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Fryda Wolff provide the new voices for Princess Poppy, Branch, Bridget, King Gristle, King Peppy, Biggie and Mr. Dinkles, Guy Diamond, Smidge, DJ Suki and Satin & Chenille for this series respectively; only Ron Funches and Walt Dohrn reprise their roles as Cooper and Cloud Guy, also respectively. Chloe Bennett, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, and Michelle Wong reprise their respective roles as Yi, Jin, and Mei, while Ethan Loh, Darin De Paul, Alan Cumming, and Karen Huie voice Peng, Everest, Burnish, and Nai Nai, respectively, replacing Albert Tsai, Joseph Izzo, Eddie Izzard, and Tsai Chin from the original film.
