Dream Wife is the debut studio album by the British punk rock band Dream Wife, released via Lucky Number in January 2018. [3]
On 28 October 2016, the band released the first single from the album, "F.U.U." [1] The music video to the single was released on 8 March 2018, and features Fever Dream and directed by Aidan Zamiri. [4]
On 31 January 2017, Dream Wife explained they were halfway to completing their debut album, while recording it at a studio in Notting Hill. [5]
The second single "Somebody" was announced on 8 March 2017. The band described the single as "a conversation on the reclamation of bodies by the women who occupy them in a tender, yet direct, and empowering way". [2] The music video to the single was released on 29 March 2017, and was directed by John Podpadec and filmed in Wedmore. [6]
On 15 August 2017, the third single "Fire" was announced. [7] The music video for the single was released on 6 September 2017. [8] The single was made into an EP on 27 September 2017, which got rave reviews from critics. [9]
On 25 October 2017, Dream Wife announced the release of their new album, along with the fourth single "Let's Make Out". [10]

Upon its release, Dream Wife received "generally favorable reviews" according to Metacritic who gave the album a score of 77/100 based on 16 reviews from critics. [12] Aggregator Album of the Year gave the release an 81 out of 100 based on a critical consensus of 22 reviews. [23]

Arctic Monkeys are an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 2002. The group consists of Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley, and Matt Helders. Former band member Andy Nicholson left the band in 2006 shortly after their debut album was released.

Benjamin Gerard Coyle-Larner, known professionally as Loyle Carner, is an English hip hop musician. After supporting various rappers during their tours, he released his debut album, Yesterday's Gone, in 2017, which garnered a nomination for the 2017 Mercury Prize. He went on to release his second album, Not Waving, but Drowning, in April 2019. Throughout his career, Carner has been nominated for two Brit Awards.
"Somebody Else" is a song by English band the 1975 from their second studio album, I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It (2016). The song was written by George Daniel, Matthew Healy, Adam Hann and Ross MacDonald. Mike Crossey handled the production alongside Daniel and Healy. The song was the last one written for the album; Healy developed the song's lyrics in Los Angeles while in the back of a cab. The singer focused on the after-effects of a breakup, centred on the themes of jealousy and guilt. It was released on 16 February 2016 by Dirty Hit and Polydor Records as the fourth single from the album.
Sundara Karma are an English rock band formed in 2011 in Reading, England. The band consists of lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Oscar Pollock, lead guitarist Ally Baty, bassist Dom Cordell and drummer Haydn Evans. The band's name is derived from Sanskrit words, meaning "Beautiful Karma".
Amber Mary Bain, known professionally as The Japanese House, is an English indie pop musician from Buckinghamshire. Bain contributes vocals and plays guitar, synthesizer and keyboard for her music. As a teenager, Bain decided to pursue a career in music, having been taught music by her father during childhood. She began writing music under the moniker the Japanese House in 2012, after being introduced to Matty Healy of the 1975, who offered to help produce her music under the label Dirty Hit. A Fever Dream is the fourth studio album by English band Everything Everything. Recorded with producer James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco and mixed by Cenzo Townshend, it was released on 18 August 2017 on RCA Records. It peaked at number five on the UK Albums Chart, Everything Everything's joint-highest album charting position. The tracks "Can't Do", "A Fever Dream", "Desire", and "Night of the Long Knives" were released as singles throughout 2017. The album was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2018, ultimately losing out to Wolf Alice's Visions of a Life.
Plunge is the second studio album by Fever Ray, an alias of Swedish musician Karin Dreijer. It was released on 27 October 2017 through Rabid Records. "Alligator" is a song by Icelandic indie folk group Of Monsters and Men. It was released on 3 May 2019 by Republic Records as the lead single for their third studio album Fever Dream (2019). Written by Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir and produced by the band and Rich Costey, "Alligator" is an uplifting yet aggressive indie rock, folk-pop, punk rock and electronic rock track about trying to break free from disillusion and confusion. Although its high energy, drums and forceful vocal performances recall the group's early sound, it is absent of their typical folk stylings. "Alligator" was well-received by reviewers of Fever Dream, who expressed disappointment that most of the album did not follow its style and sound. In addition to being a top-ten hit in the band's home country of Iceland, it was also in the top ten of various North American Billboard rock and alternative charts and reached number-one on the Rock Airplay and Adult Alternative Airplay charts.
Hypersonic Missiles is the debut studio album by English musician Sam Fender, released on 13 September 2019 by Polydor Records.
