The Bare Range is a mountain range of the Canadian Rockies, located south of the Red Deer River valley in Banff National Park, Canada. The range is named for the "bareness" of or lack of trees on the gentle slopes of the range.
Atlin Lake is the largest natural lake in the Canadian province of British Columbia. The northern tip of the lake is in Yukon, as is Little Atlin Lake. However, most of the lake lies within the Atlin District of British Columbia. Atlin Lake is believed to be the source of the Yukon River although it is drained via the short Atlin River into Tagish Lake.
Mount Tahat is the highest mountain peak in Algeria. It sits at an elevation of 2,908 metres. Other sources indicate an elevation of 3,003 metres (9,852 ft). Tahat is also the highest peak in the Hoggar Mountains. Its nearest city is Tamanrasset which is located 56 km to the south.
Rimo I is the main summit of the Rimo massif with an elevation of 7,385 metres (24,229 ft). It lies in the northern part of the remote Rimo Muztagh, a subrange of the Karakoram range. It is located about 20 km northeast of the snout of the Siachen Glacier and is the world's 71st highest mountain. Rimo means "striped mountain". The Rimo Glacier, originating here, drains to the Shyok river.
Mount Jefferson is the highest mountain in both the Toquima Range and Nye County in Nevada, United States. It is the sixth highest mountain in the state. As the high point of a range which is well separated from other ranges by low basins, Mount Jefferson has a high topographic prominence of 5,861 feet (1,786 m). This makes it the most prominent peak in Nye County and the third most prominent peak in Nevada. For similar reasons, it is also the highest mountain for over 90 miles in all directions. It is located about 50 miles (80 km) northeast of the county seat of Tonopah within the Alta Toquima Wilderness of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, near the smaller towns of Carvers and Round Mountain. Three distinct summits are located on a broad area of subalpine tundra: North Summit rises to 11,820 feet (3,603 m), Middle Summit to 11,692 feet (3,564 m), and South Summit to 11,949 feet (3,642 m). During the Pleistocene, alpine glaciers eroded several cirques east of the summit plateau.
Mount Shaw is a mountain located in the towns of Moultonborough and Tuftonboro in Carroll County, New Hampshire, United States. It is part of the remains of an ancient volcanic ring dike. With a summit elevation of 2,990 feet (911 m), it is the highest of the Ossipee Mountains.
The Clearwater Mountains are part of the Rocky Mountains, located in the panhandle of Idaho in the Western United States. The mountains lie between the Salmon River and the Bitterroot Range and encompass an area of 8,499 square miles (22,012 km2).
The Du Toitskloof Mountains (Dutoitsberge) are a range in the Cape Fold Belt in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. The highest point is Du Toits Peak (Dutoitspiek) which is the highest seaward facing peak in the Cape Fold Belt ranges, i.e. the highest peak in the Western Cape within direct sight of the ocean.
Salt Pond Mountain is a mountain located in Giles County, Virginia. The mountain, which is part of the Ridge-and-valley province of the Appalachian Mountains, extends about seven miles (12 km) from southwest to northeast. The highest peak is Bald Knob, at the southeast end, south of Mountain Lake. Salt Pond Mtn. joins Johns Creek Mountain at the southwest end, and the Big Mountain – Potts Mountain ridge at the northeast end, just south of West Virginia.
Table Top Mountain is a mountain located in Essex County in the U.S. State of New York. Table Top Mtn. is flanked to the north by Phelps Mountain, and to the south by Mount Marcy. Table Top has three summits; the southernmost is the highest, followed by the middle peak at 4,308 ft (1,313 m) and the north peak at 4,216 ft (1,285 m).
Vly Mountain is a mountain located in the town of Halcott, New York, United States in Greene County. The mountain is part of the Catskill Mountains. Vly Mountain is flanked to the northwest by Bearpen Mountain, to the east by Vinegar Hill, to the northeast by Kipp Hill, and to the southeast by Beech Ridge.
Chaupi Orco or Viscachani is a mountain in the Andes on the border of Bolivia and Peru. It has a height of 6,044 metres (19,829 ft). On the Bolivian side it is located in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality, and on the Peruvian side it lies in the Puno Region, Putina Province, Sina District. It lies north of Salluyu.
Rinrijirca is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about 5,810 m (19,836 ft) high. It is located in the Ancash Region, Huaylas Province, Santa Cruz District south of Pucajirca.
Mount Tidighin, Jbel Tidighin, Adrar N Tidighin, is a mountain in Al Hoceïma Province, Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, Morocco. Its summit elevation is 2,456 m.
Bighorn Peak is located in the Bighorn Mountains in the U.S. state of Wyoming. The peak is the seventh highest in the range and it is in the Cloud Peak Wilderness of Bighorn National Forest. Bighorn Peak is 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south of Darton Peak.
Mather Peaks is located in the Bighorn Mountains in the U.S. state of Wyoming. The peak is the sixth highest in the range and it is in the Cloud Peak Wilderness of Bighorn National Forest. Mather Peaks is 4.5 miles (7.2 km) northwest of Darton Peak and 3.2 mi (5.1 km) south of Bomber Mountain.
The Painted Rocks Mountains are a short 15-mile (24 km) long mountain range of the north-central Sonoran Desert southwest of Phoenix, Arizona and in southwest Maricopa County. The Gila River flows through the central-north end of the range.
Mount Fainter South is a mountain in the Victorian Alps of the Great Dividing Range, located in the Australian state of Victoria. The summit is at 1,883 metres (6,178 ft) AHD and is located in the Alpine National Park.
Huntersfield Mountain is a mountain located in the Catskill Mountains of New York north-northwest of Ashland. Ashland Pinnacle is located east, and Tower Mountain is located south-southeast of Huntersfield Mountain. It is the highest point in Schoharie County and it is ranked 9 of 62 on the list of New York County High Points.
