Epictia goudotii, also known commonly as the black blind snake and the southern Caribbean threadsnake, is a species of snake in the family Leptotyphlopidae. The species is endemic to Middle America. [2] [3]

Etymology

The specific name, goudotii, is in honor of French naturalist Justin-Marie Goudot. [4]

Geographic range

In Central America, E. goudotii is found in Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico (Oaxaca), Nicaragua, and Panama. [1]

In South America, it is found in western Colombia, Venezuela, [5] and on associated islands. [1]
