Express News is an Urdu language Pakistani television news channel based in Karachi, launched on January 1, 2008. [2] [3] It is owned and run by the country's third largest Urdu daily, Daily Express . The owners of the channel, Lakson Group, launched 'Express 24/7', a 24-hour Pakistani English news channel on February 5, 2009.

Express Media Group had launched their entertainment channel Express Entertainment on 1 January 2012[ citation needed ]. EMG had also launched their channel, Hero TV, from 5 June 2012. [4] [5] [6] [7]

<i>Nawaiwaqt</i> Pakistani newspaper

Nawaiwaqt is an Urdu daily newspaper in Pakistan which is currently owned by Majid Nizami Trust. It was launched on March 23, 1940, under the leadership of Hameed Nizami. Hameed Nizami was the founder of this newspaper. His younger brother Majid Nizami was the chief editor and publisher of Nawa-i-Waqt Group of Publications until he died in 2014 and then this group became the property of Majid Nizami Trust created by Majid Nizami himself in his lifetime. It is one of the most influential newspapers in the country. It has a special position in Pakistan's media, as the guardian of Pakistan's ideology, with well-established center-right and nationalist credentials. Currently, it is one of the four top influential Urdu newspapers in Pakistan. In 2016, Rameeza and actual daughter of Mian Arif and Ghazala Arif elected as the Managing Director of Nawa-i-Waqt Group of Publications by the Trustees of Majid Nizami Trust and was also elected as the Senior Vice President of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS).

The Lakson Group is a Pakistani conglomerate company which is based in Karachi, Pakistan. It was founded in 1954 and is owned by Lakhani family. The conglomerate is based in Karachi, currently chaired by Iqbal Ali Lakhani and was founded in 1954.

Dawn News is one of Pakistan's 24-hour Urdu news channel. Based in Karachi, the station is a subsidiary of Pakistan Herald Publications Limited (PHPL), Pakistan's largest English-language media group.

Zee News News channel of Zee Media

Zee News is a Hindi-language news channel owned by the Essel Group. <i>The Express Tribune</i> Pakistani newspaper

The Express Tribune is a Pakistani daily English-language newspaper based in Pakistan. Part of the Lakson Group of companies, it is the flagship publication of the Daily Express media group. It is Pakistan's only internationally affiliated newspaper, in partnership with International New York Times, the global edition of The New York Times. Headquartered in Karachi, it also prints copy from offices in Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar. Aaj News Pakistani television news channel

Aaj News is a 24-hour Pakistani news television channel. It is a privately owned Urdu language TV station which covers national and international news. The channel started out as hybrid channel ,but later separted its entertainment programming to sister channel, Aaj Entertainment, and became a news channel.

Jang Media Group, also known as Geo Group, is a Pakistani media conglomerate and is a subsidiary of Dubai-based company Independent Media Corporation. Geo Entertainment or Geo Drama is a Pakistani entertainment television channel owned by Geo Television Network was established in May 2002. Its test transmission started on 14 August 2002 on the PAS 10 digital satellite whereas on 1 October 2002 the regular transmission of Geo Entertainment was started.

Zindagi was the first Indian general entertainment online channel, owned by the Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL). It also promoted itself as a television channel broadcasting short-run programming and as India's new Hindi entertainment channel, rather than on-going, indefinite serials. It has syndicated content from various countries including Brazil, Pakistan, South Korea, Turkey and Ukraine. Launched on 23 June 2014, ZEEL invested 100 crores to launch the network.

Pakistani dramas, or Pakistani serials, are televised serials produced in Pakistan. Although most of the serials are produced in Urdu, an increasing number of them are produced in other Pakistani languages such as Sindhi, Pashto, Punjabi and Balochi. One of Pakistan's oldest television dramas is the Urdu serial Khuda Ki Basti, which aired in 1969. Pakistani dramas, like serials elsewhere, reflect the country's culture. According to Dr Farooq Sulehria 1970s & 1980 are considered to be golden old days of Pakistani serials.

Lahore News HD

Lahore News HD is a local television channel in Lahore, Pakistan. The channel transmits local news, current affairs, sports, arts, events and entertainment. It is part of Dunya Media Group. The Group also owns Dunya News Urdu news channel and Daily Dunya daily Urdu newspaper.

Indus Media Group is a Pakistani company broadcasting a mix of free-to-air news and entertainment channels via satellite.
