Federation for International FootGolf, also known as FIFG, is the world's governing body for the sport of footgolf. Established in 2012, [1] FIFG organizes FootGolf World Cups, tours and regulates the sports footgolf associations around the world. [2]

Background

A group of countries combined to form the Federation for International FootGolf in June 2012, and 8 countries played the first FootGolf World Cup in Hungary. The second FootGolf World Cup was held in January 2016 in Argentina and over 230 players from 26 FIFG member countries participated. [3]

On October 3, 2017, the Global Association of International Sports Federations announced the federation as one of the first international federations to achieve Observer status. [4] [5]

Skipping rope Game in which one or more participants jump over a swung rope

A skipping rope or jump rope is a tool used in the sport of skipping/jump rope where one or more participants jump over a rope swung so that it passes under their feet and over their heads. There are multiple subsets of skipping/jump rope, including single freestyle, single speed, pairs, three-person speed, and three-person freestyle.

The Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports was the world governing body for roller sports, including skateboarding, rink hockey, inline hockey, inline speed skating, inline alpine, downhill, roller derby, roller freestyle, inline freestyle, aggressive inline skating, inline figure skating and artistic roller skating. It was established in April 1924 in Montreux, Switzerland by two Swiss sportsmen, Fred Renkewitz and Otto Myer, who had close connections to the International Olympic Committee.

World Flying Disc Federation

The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) is the international governing body for flying disc (Frisbee) sports, with responsibility for sanctioning world championship events, establishing uniform rules, setting of standards for and recording of world records. WFDF is a federation of member associations which represent flying disc sports and their athletes in 100 countries. WFDF is an international federation recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), a member of the Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF), GAISF, and the International World Games Association (IWGA), and it is a registered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation in the state of Colorado, USA.

International Wushu Federation

The International Wushu Federation (IWUF) is an international sport organization and is the governing body for wushu in all its forms worldwide. The IWUF is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and is also a member of the ARISF, GAISF, FISU, and the ISF.

International Mind Sports Association

The International Mind Sports Association (IMSA) is an association of the world governing bodies for contract bridge, chess, draughts (checkers), go, xiangqi, and mahjong. Its members are the World Bridge Federation (WBF), World Chess Federation (FIDE), World Draughts Federation (FMJD), International Go Federation (IGF), World Xiangqi Federation (WXF), Mahjong International League (MIL) and Federation of Card Games (FCG). IMSA is a member of SportAccord and was founded 19 April 2005 during the GAISF General Assembly. It is based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) is the umbrella organisation for all international sports federations as well as organisers of multi-sports games and sport-related international associations. It changed its name to SportAccord from March 2009 to April 2017 when it reverted to its former name. GAISF is an international sport organisation with 95 full members and 20 associate members.

The Federation of International Polo is the international federation representing the sport of polo, officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee. It was founded in 1982 by representatives of eleven national polo associations, and currently represents the national polo associations of more than 80 countries. The Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF) is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation constituted through and recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The ARISF's members are international sports federations recognised by the IOC that currently do not compete in either the Summer or Winter Olympics.

Footgolf is a sport in which players kick an association football (soccer) ball into a cup in as few shots as possible. The name is a portmanteau of football and golf, and the game combines the two sports, being more closely related to golf.

International Federation of Muaythai Associations

The International Federation of Muaythai Associations, or IFMA, called the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur until 27 July 2019, is the sole recognised sport governing body of amateur and professional Muay Thai and Muay boran consisting of 130 member countries worldwide with 5 continental federations after unification of International Federation of Muaythai Amateur and World Muaythai Council. IFMA is officially recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF), the Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF), the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) International World Games Association (IWGA), and Trim and Fitness International Sport for All Association (TAFISA). Muaythai has been included in many official sport programs such as the World Games, World Combat Games, Arafura Games, TAFISA Games, SEA Games, Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, Asian Beach Games, Demonstration Sport in the Asian Games.

The International Cheer Union (ICU) is the worldwide sports governing body of cheerleading. It was founded in 2004, and is recognized by SportAccord / Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF), and is a member of the Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF). Its membership includes 116 national cheer federations on all continents - reaching over 5 million athletes globally.

The International Federation of Sleddog Sports is the global governing/sanctioning body of sleddog sports. It represents 49 national sleddog sport federations and organizations that are overseen by the board and six continental directors.

International Rafting Federation

The International Rafting Federation (IRF) is the official umbrella International Sports Federation for national rafting organizations worldwide, and administers all aspects of rafting sport worldwide. The World Rafting Championships (WRC) the European Rafting Championships (ERC), the Pan American Rafting Championships, and the Euro Cup rafting series are governed by the IRF. The IRF works closely with national organisations and government bodies by offering the only raft guide certification program accepted worldwide. In 2019 the IRF was awarded Observer Status by the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF).

International Pole Sports Federation

The International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF) is a not-for-profit global organization that has been recognized as an Observer Member by the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) as the international governing body for pole sports. The IPSF is the umbrella organization for national pole federations and hosts the annual World Pole Championships.

World Obstacle

World Obstacle, institutional name Fédération Internationale de Sports d’Obstacles(FISO), is the international governing body for obstacle sports and related events. Disciplines include Ninja, Obstacle Course Racing (OCR), and Adventure Racing (AR). Headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, it sanctions world and continental level events.

The International Union of Kettlebell Lifting (IUKL), is an international association which brings together around 40 national federations of kettlebell sport worldwide.

The World Landsailing Organisation or Fédération Internationale de Sand and Landyachting (IPSF), is an international organistaions which governs national associations of land sailing worldwide.

The International Jump Rope Union, also known as IJRU, is the highest authority and world governing body for the sport of jump roping and rope skipping.

The World Dodgeball Association, also known as WDA, is the world governing body for the sport of dodgeball. World Dodgeball Association (WDA) was granted observer status by the Global Association of International Sports Federations in 17 April 2020.
