Ferrocarril is an underground metro station of Line 3 of the Santiago Metro network, in Santiago, Chile. It is an underground, between the Lo Cruzat and Los Libertadores stations on Line 3. It is located at the intersection of Manuel Antonio Matta Avenue with Pasaje 4.
The station was opened on 25 September, 2023 as part of the inaugural section of the extension of Line 3 from Plaza Quilicura to Los Libertadores
Its tentative name is due to the fact that it is located near the former Quilicura train station, which during its existence received passenger service. Currently, only garbage transport is received on that land, however, it has been proposed to rebuild the station as part of various commuter rail projects of the State Railway Company.
This project called the Santiago-Batuco Train will be located between the town of the same name and the Quinta Normal Station. Its construction would begin in 2020. The Municipality of Quilicura published information alluding to this project, as well as that of the "Quilicura Nude" at the intersection of Route 5 Norte and Américo Vespucio. Initially called “EFE Quilicura”, the station was officially named “Ferrocarril” on October 15, 2020.
On December 10, 2021, a vote was held in which residents of the Quilicura commune participated, who had to define - from three available options - the pictogram that will identify the station: one of them presents a train next to the old one switch house at the Quilicura station, the other presents a perspective of the railway line flanked by poplars, and the third presents a locomotive passing by a group of trees.

The Barcelona–Vallès Line is an unconnected standard gauge rapid transit and commuter railway line linking Barcelona with Sabadell and Terrassa via the Collserola mountain range, in Catalonia, Spain. Its name refers to the Catalan historical region of Vallès, whereby most part of the line runs. Plaça de Catalunya station serves as the Barcelona terminus of the line, where almost all its trains either start or terminate. The line then continues northwards and branches off twice before leaving the city limits. Its main route splits in two in Sant Cugat del Vallès, forming two major branches to Sabadell and Terrassa. It has 40 passenger stations in operation and a total line length of 48.1 kilometres (29.9 mi).
Universidad de Chile station is a transfer station between the Line 1 and Line 3 of the Santiago Metro. It is an underground station located between La Moneda and Santa Lucía stations on the same line. It is located at the junction of Avenida Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins, also known as "Alameda", and Paseo Ahumada in the commune of Santiago. The Line 1 station was opened on 31 March 1977 as part of the extension of the line from La Moneda to Salvador. The Line 3 station was opened on 22 January 2019 as part of the inaugural section of the line, from Los Libertadores to Fernando Castillo Velasco.
Irarrázaval is a transfer station between the Line 3 and Line 5 of the Santiago Metro. The station is so named due to its location beneath Avenida Irarrázaval, a main road of the commune of Ñuñoa, which in turn was named after the Chilean lawyer and politician Manuel José Yrarrázaval Larraín. The Line 5 station was opened on 5 April 1997 as part of the inaugural section of the line, from Baquedano to Bellavista de La Florida. The Line 3 station was opened on 22 January 2019 as part of the inaugural section of the line, from Los Libertadores to Fernando Castillo Velasco. Construction of the 6.5 km tunnel between Irarrázaval and Fernando Castillo Velasco was completed in 2017 on a budget of 145 million euro.
Line 3 is a rapid transit line of the Santiago Metro. Traveling from La Reina in the east towards the center, and Quilicura in the North, Line 3 was originally intended to open in the late 1980s, but the 1985 Algarrobo Earthquake hampered its construction, and a subsequent urban explosion in Puente Alto and Maipú further put its construction on hold, until in the early 2010s construction started. The first phase of the project includes 18 stations, which were completed and opened to the public on 22 January 2019 at a cost of US$1.79 billion. The second phase, composed of a three-station extension towards the main square of Quilicura, which was inaugurated on September 25, 2023 with a total project cost of US$378 million. Its distinctive color on the network line map is chocolate brown.
Fernando Castillo Velasco is an underground metro station and the southern terminal station of Line 3 of the Santiago Metro network, in Santiago, Chile. It is located underground, at the intersection of Alcalde Fernando Castillo Velasco Avenue with Loreley Street. It the current terminal station of Line 3, preceded by the Plaza Egaña station. Construction of the 6.5 km tunnel between Irarrázaval and Fernando Castillo Velasco was completed in 2017 on a budget of 145 million euro. The station was opened on 22 January 2019 as part of the inaugural section of the line, from Los Libertadores to Fernando Castillo Velasco.
