First Round Capital is a US-based venture capital firm that specializes in providing seed-stage funding to technology companies.

Founded by Josh Kopelman [1] and Howard Morgan, [2] First Round typically provides seed-stage funding and focuses on portfolio companies' growth during their first 18 months. It has offices in San Francisco, Philadelphia, and New York.

In what the Wall Street Journal called "one of the greatest startup investments of all time”, First Round invested approximately $1.6M in Uber’s first two rounds of funding in 2010 and 2011 at a valuation of approximately $5.4M. [3] [4]

In 2012, the firm launched Dorm Room Fund for college students to fund startups founded by their peers. [5]
