Nord-Pas-de-Calais ; Picard: Nord-Pas-Calés); is a former administrative region of France. Since 1 January 2016, it has been part of the new region Hauts-de-France. It consisted of the departments of Nord and Pas-de-Calais. Nord-Pas-de-Calais borders the English Channel (west), the North Sea (northwest), Belgium and Picardy (south). The majority of the region was once part of the historical (Southern) Netherlands, but gradually became part of France between 1477 and 1678, particularly during the reign of king Louis XIV. The historical French provinces that preceded Nord-Pas-de-Calais are Artois, French Flanders, French Hainaut and (partially) Picardy. These provincial designations are still frequently used by the inhabitants.

The company was acquired by the Dassault in September 2006. Before that date, 13% of the shares belonged to Aude Ruettard, the granddaughter of Robert Hersant. After the acquisition, Dassault sold off most of the company, retaining Le Figaro and FC Nantes; in 2011, Dassault renamed its remaining core media assets Groupe Figaro.
TER Nord-Pas-de-Calais was the regional rail network serving Nord-Pas-de-Calais région, France. In 2017 it was merged into the new TER Hauts-de-France.

He was runner up for the Prix de Rome in 1891, won the Prix national des Salons in 1897 and a Gold Medal at l'Exposition Universelle in 1900. He died in La Flèche in 1943. He was a member of the Institut de France and of the Académie des Beaux-Arts.
France 3 Alpes is one France 3's regional broadcasting services to people in the Rhône-Alpes region. It was launched as ORTF Rhône-Alpes in 1968. It is headquartered in La Tronche. The service is also one of 2 services to be broadcast to people living in the region, the other being France 3 Rhône-Alpes, which is broadcast from Lyon. France 3 Alpes also produces news content. It is also received in Switzerland.
CPIE Bocage de l'Avesnois is an association in northern France created under the Loi de 1901. It is one of the 80 organizations known as Centre Permanent d'Initiatives pour l'Environnement (CPIE) in France. The association aims to contribute to the sustainable development of the Arrondissement of Avesnes-sur-Helpe; it does this through nature conservation, environmental education and supporting local agents to carry out sustainable development.
Hauts-de-France is the northernmost region of France, created by the territorial reform of French regions in 2014, from a merger of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy. Its prefecture is Lille. The new region came into existence on 1 January 2016, after regional elections in December 2015. The Conseil d'État approved Hauts-de-France as the name of the region on 28 September 2016, effective the following 30 September.
Pierre de Saintignon was a French politician. He was a member of the French Socialist Party since 1967. He was elected councilor to the Lille municipality in 1989, 1995, 2001, 2008 and 2014, the first two terms under Pierre Mauroy and the other three under Martine Aubry. From 2001, he was the First Deputy-Mayor, in charge of finance, economic development and military matters. In 1998, 2004 and 2010 he was elected councilor the Regional Council of Nord-Pas-de-Calais, where he sat as first vice-president, in charge of economic development. Most of his political career was as an unofficial chief of staff, rather than as a foreground person. He was chosen to lead the PS list for the 2015 regional elections that were held on 6 and 13 December 2015.
A Fonds régional d'art contemporain (Frac) is a public regional collection of contemporary art set in one of the metropolitan or overseas regions of France. There are currently 23 Fracs across the country, organised into a national network called Platform since 2005. Fracs are funded by regions, by the state through the Ministry of Culture and by municipalities. Originally without venues, Fracs are now hosted in repurposed historical buildings, or in specifically-built art museums, depending on the size of their collection.
Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais is a French beauty pageant which selects a representative for the Miss France national competition from the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Women representing the region under various different titles have competed at Miss France since 1920, although the Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais title was not used regularly until 2010.
Miss France 2019 was the 89th edition of the Miss France pageant, held on 15 December 2018 at the Zénith de Lille in Lille. The competition was hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault, Sylvie Tellier, and Miss France 2018 Maëva Coucke, while singer and actress Line Renaud served as president of the jury.
