Ghana took part in the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England between 28 July and 8 August 2022. [1] It was Ghana's seventeenth appearance at the Games.

Athletics

A squad of fourteen athletes was selected on 14 June 2022. [3] Among those selected is 2014 Youth Olympic 800 metres champion Martha Bissah, who until recently was indefinitely banned from representing Ghana as punishment for accusing the GAA of extortion. [4]

Field hockey at the 2018 Commonwealth Games was held on the Gold Coast, Australia from 5 to 14 April. The hockey competition was held at the Gold Coast Hockey Centre. This is the sixth time that the hockey competition was held, following the sport's debut at the 1998 Games.
