Goosemoor Green is a hamlet [1] in the Lichfield District in Staffordshire, England. [2] It is located close to the town of Burntwood. It is close to Gentleshaw Common. The hamlet is in Longdon parish, close to the villages of Chorley and Gentleshaw.
Goosemoor Green is first mentioned alongside neighbouring Longdon in the Saxons Era as meaning "long hill". The hamlet was nothing more than heathland. [3] Additionally, a brief passing mention of the hamlet can be found in the National Archives in 1932. With it mentioning Goosemoor Green as having "three cottages". [4]
The hamlet is mostly made up of private houses and farms. [5] The nearest shopping amenities are in Burntwood, Cannock, Hednesford, Lichfield and Rugeley. The nearest church is in Gentleshaw.
