Saint Lucia is one of many small land masses composing the insular group known as the Windward Islands. Unlike large limestone areas such as Florida, Cuba, and the Yucatan Peninsula, or the Bahamas, which is a small island group composed of coral and sand, St. Lucia is a typical Windward Island formation of volcanic rock that came into existence long after much of the region had already been formed.
The island nation of Saint Lucia is divided into 10 districts. The name Quarters or Quartiers originally came from the French period in Saint Lucia. The 2001 and 2010 Census of Saint Lucia refers to the first level administrative divisions as districts. The FIPS and ISO standards regularly called these divisions quarters or quartiers in French. The former district of Dauphin Quarter was merged into Gros Islet District and the former district of Praslin Quarter was merged into Micoud District.
The Flying Dust First Nation is a Cree First Nation band government located adjacent to the city of Meadow Lake in Saskatchewan, Canada. Highway 55 goes through the band's reserve community.
The Michipicoten First Nation is an Ojibway First Nation band government in Northern Ontario, located near Wawa. Members of the community have lived at the mouth of the Michipicoten River since before the first arrival of European settlers to the area. Their reserves include Chapleau 61, Gros Cap 49, Gros Cap Indian Village 49A and Missanabie 62.
Tsinstikeptum 9, usually referred to as Tsinstikeptum Indian Reserve No. 9, is one of two Indian Reserves of the Westbank First Nation located adjacent to West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. It and Tsinstikeptum Indian Reserve No. 10 are jointly normally referred to as the Westbank Indian Reserve. Tsinstikeptum Indian Reserve No. 9 is located six miles southwest of Kelowna proper, adjacent to McDougall Creek. The reserve is 641.80 ha in area. The southernmost portion of the reserve lies on the shores of Okanagan Lake.
Tsinstikeptum 10, usually referred to as Tsinstikeptum Indian Reserve No. 10, is one of two Indian Reserves of the Westbank First Nation located in West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. It and Tsinstikeptum Indian Reserve No. 9 are jointly normally referred to as the Westbank Indian Reserve. Tsinstikeptum Indian Reserve No. 10, which is 339 ha. in area, is located opposite the City of Kelowna proper, across Okanagan Lake.
Division No. 1, Unorganized, or Whiteshell Unorganized, is a Statistics Canada census subdivision of its Division No. 1, Manitoba that consists of a part of the division that is not organized into either incorporated municipalities or Indian reserves. Unlike in some other provinces, census divisions do not reflect the organization of local government in Manitoba.
Dog Head 218 is an Indian reserve of the Mikisew Cree First Nation in Alberta, located within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. In the 2016 Canadian Census, it recorded a population of 99 living in 39 of its 49 total private dwellings.
Piikani 147, formerly Peigan 147, is an Indian reserve of the Piikani Nation in Alberta. It is located 61 km (38 mi) west of the City of Lethbridge. It has a land area of 426.992 km2 (164.863 sq mi), making it the fourth-largest Indian reserve in Canada, and lies at an elevation of 1,046 m (3,432 ft). The Canada 2011 Census reported a population of 1,217 inhabitants. It is bordered by the Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 on its north and east, and by the Municipal District of Pincher Creek No. 9 on its west and south. The nearest outside communities are Fort Macleod and Pincher Creek.

The Batchewana First Nation of Ojibways is an Ojibway First Nation in northern Ontario. Their traditional lands run along the eastern shore of Lake Superior, from Batchawana Bay to Whitefish Island. They were reserved this land in the 1850 Robinson Huron Treaty, but surrendered most of it under the 1859 Pennefather Treaty. Through purchase and land claims, it has reclaimed some territories, including Goulais Bay 15A, Obadjiwan 15E, Rankin Location 15D and Whitefish Island.
Gros Cap Indian Village 49A is a First Nations reserve which is surrounded by Wawa, Ontario, but almost borders Gros Cap 49. It is one of the reserves of the Michipicoten First Nation.
Tthejëre Ghaı̨lı̨ 196B, also known as Salt River, is an Indian reserve of the Smith's Landing First Nation in Alberta, located within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
Ocean Man 69 is an Indian reserve of the Ocean Man First Nation in Saskatchewan. It is 20 kilometres northeast of Stoughton. In the 2016 Canadian Census, it recorded a population of 185 living in 56 of its 61 total private dwellings. In the same year, its Community Well-Being index was calculated at 48 of 100, compared to 58.4 for the average First Nations community and 77.5 for the average non-Indigenous community.
