Happy Herowati born 1935, is a former Indonesian badminton player who played in the 1960s.
Happy Herowati became one of the early generations of Indonesian women's badminton in the 1960s and won the women's team, silver medal in women's doubles and bronze in women's singles at the Badminton at the 1962 Asian Games. In the 1962 Asian Badminton Championships, together with Corry Kawilarang, won the women's doubles after defeating Thailand's women's doubles. [1]

He won numerous international singles titles from the mid-1950s through the early 1960s and his clutch performances helped Indonesia to win its first three Thomas Cup titles consecutively in 1958, 1961, and 1964, setting the pattern for his country's continued formidable presence in world badminton. Sonneville's playing career ended on a sour note in the 1967 Thomas Cup final in Jakarta when, past his prime, he was roundly booed by his countrymen after dropping singles matches in Indonesia's controversial loss to Malaysia.

The 1992 Asian Badminton Championships was the 11th edition of the Badminton Asia Championships. It was held in Cheras Indoor Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from April 7 to April 11. Men's singles and Men's doubles disciplines were won by Malaysia; Women's singles and Women's doubles by China and Indonesia won the Mixed doubles event.
Tang Xianhu is a Indonesia-born Chinese former badminton player and coach. In the early days of his career, Tang was unable to participate in international competitions due to political factors, but he defeated the world's top players many times during overseas visits and exchanges, and was known as the "Uncrowned King" in badminton. He won the Asian Games men's team gold in 1974 and mixed doubles gold in 1978. After retiring, he started coaching in China and Indonesia. Many of the players he coached had won the World Championships and/or Olympic gold medals such as Lin Ying, Wu Dixi, Li Lingwei, Han Aiping, Ji Xinpeng, Xia Xuanze, Sun Jun, Lin Dan, Cai Yun, Fu Haifeng, Alan Budikusuma and Hendrawan. In 2002, he was inducted into the Badminton Hall of Fame.
