Reynoldsville is a borough in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is 73 miles (117 km) northeast of Pittsburgh in a productive soft coal region. The population was 2,759 at the 2010 census.
The West Point Foundry was a major American ironworking and machine shop site in Cold Spring, New York, operating from 1818 to about 1911. Initiated after the War of 1812, it became most famous for its production of Parrott rifle artillery and other munitions during the Civil War, although it also manufactured a variety of iron products for civilian use. The increase of steel making and decreasing demand for cast iron after the Civil War caused it to become bankrupt gradually and cease operations during the early 20th Century.

The district includes 263 contributing buildings in the central business district and surrounding residential areas of Brookville. The buildings date between about 1838 and 1930, and include notable examples of vernacular and high style Late Victorian style architecture. Notable buildings include the Judge Elijah Heath House (1836), Railroad House Hotel (1851), Blood Block (1875-1876), Marlin Opera House Block (1883-1884), McKnight Building, Northside School (1939), Methodist Episcopal Church, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (1872), Jenks Foundry (1878), Brookville Y.M.C.A. (1915), Columbia Theater (1918-1919), Jefferson County Courthouse (1867), Brookville Borough Building, and U.S. Post Office. Located in the district and separately listed are the Brookville Presbyterian Church and Manse, Joseph E. Hall House, and Gray-Taylor House.

The Greene County Courthouse, located in Jefferson, Iowa, United States, was built in 1918. It was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 as a part of the County Courthouses in Iowa Thematic Resource. In 2011, it was included as a contributing property in the Jefferson Square Commercial Historic District. The courthouse is the third structure to house court functions and county administration. The courthouse features the Mahany Tower, a 120 feet bell tower.

Notable non-residential buildings include the Methodist Episcopal Church (1873), brick jail (1850s), W.A. Young & Sons Foundry & Machine Shop, Excelsior Pottery, Rice's Landing National Bank building, Hughes store, and the Nash-Rambler Garage. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2016.
