Herpetogramma cynaralis is a species of moth of the family Crambidae. [1] [2] It is found in Japan, [3] [4] Taiwan, [4] [5] Jeju Island (Korea), China, Malaysia, India, [4] and Australia, [1] [4] where it has been recorded from Queensland. [6]

The wingspan is 20 mm (0.79 in) in females. [4] In Australia, the larvae feed on Stephania japonica var. discolor. [6]
