Huay-Huay District is one of ten districts of the province Yauli in Peru. [1]
The districts of Peru are the third-level country subdivisions of Peru. They are subdivisions of the provinces, which in turn are subdivisions of the larger regions or departments. There are 1,838 districts in total.
The Yauli Province is one of the nine provinces in Peru that form the Junín Region. It is bordered to the north by the Pasco Region and the Junín Province, to the east by the Tarma Province, to the south by the Jauja Province and to the west by the Lima Region. The population of the province was estimated at 66,093 inhabitants in 2002. The capital of the Yauli Province is La Oroya.

Kiwyu Waqanan is a mountain in the northern part of the Paryaqaqa mountain range in the Andes of Peru which reaches an altitude of approximately 5,100 metres (16,732 ft). It is located in the Junín Region, Yauli Province, in the districts of Huay-Huay and Yauli. Kiwyu Waqanan lies northeast of Chumpi.
Kunkus is a mountain in the north of the Paryaqaqa mountain range in the Andes of Peru which reaches an altitude of approximately 5,000 m (16,000 ft). It is located in the Junín Region, Yauli Province, on the border of the districts of Huay-Huay and Yauli. Kunkus lies north of Chumpi.

Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan is a Teochew clan association in Singapore. Poit Ip, which means eight districts in the Teochew dialect, stood for the eight Teochew districts in the province of Guangdong, China. Huay Kuan means "clan association". On 12 December 1928, a temporary committee convened a meeting at the Tuan Mong School in preparation of the formation of the Huay Kuan. On 20 March 1929, British colonial authorities exempted the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan from registration, and it was formally established.

The Huay Chivo is a legendary Mayan beast. It is a half-man, half-beast creature, with burning red eyes, and is specific to the Yucatán Peninsula. It is often said to be an evil sorcerer who can transform himself into a supernatural animal, usually a goat, dog or deer, in order to prey upon livestock. In recent times, it has become associated with the chupacabras. The Huay Chivo is specific to the southeastern Mexican states of Yucatán, Campeche and Quintana Roo. Alleged Huay Chivo activity is sporadically reported in the regional press. Local Maya near the town of Valladolid, in Yucatán, believe the Huay Chivo is an evil sorcerer that is capable of transforming into a goat to do mischief and eat livestock.

Llaksaqucha is a lake in the Paryaqaqa mountain range in the Andes of Peru. It is located in the Junín Region, Yauli Province, Huay-Huay District. It lies northeast of Uqhu and Qayqu. The lake belongs to the watershed of the Mantaro River.
