Huntington had a population of 2,574 at the 2018 New Zealand census, an increase of 129 people (5.3%) since the 2013 census, and an increase of 1,017 people (65.3%) since the 2006 census. There were 855 households. There were 1,230 males and 1,344 females, giving a sex ratio of 0.92 males per female. The median age was 42.6 years, with 510 people (19.8%) aged under 15 years, 450 (17.5%) aged 15 to 29, 1,200 (46.6%) aged 30 to 64, and 414 (16.1%) aged 65 or older.
Ethnicities were 72.6% European/Pākehā, 8.4% Māori, 1.3% Pacific peoples, 23.5% Asian, and 1.9% other ethnicities (totals add to more than 100% since people could identify with multiple ethnicities).
The proportion of people born overseas was 29.4%, compared with 27.1% nationally.
Although some people objected to giving their religion, 44.5% had no religion, 42.9% were Christian, 1.9% were Hindu, 1.7% were Muslim, 2.2% were Buddhist and 1.7% had other religions.
Of those at least 15 years old, 666 (32.3%) people had a bachelor or higher degree, and 270 (13.1%) people had no formal qualifications. The median income was $42,400. The employment status of those at least 15 was that 1,044 (50.6%) people were employed full-time, 324 (15.7%) were part-time, and 72 (3.5%) were unemployed. [2]

Dinsdale is the westernmost suburb of Hamilton in New Zealand. Originally called Frankton West, it was renamed in July 1961 after Thomas Dinsdale. Dinsdale grew rapidly in the 1960s. It is located around a low ridge with some views westward to open farm land. It has a large sports ground and shopping complex with a supermarket, shops and Dinsdale Library, one of the branches of the Hamilton City Libraries. The community church of West Hamilton is located in the suburb.

St James Park is a name used for a suburb in north-eastern Hamilton in New Zealand by a 2010 map. It was developed by Chedworth/Grasshopper Joint Venture in 2001. In 2012 Hamilton Libraries described it as being in Huntington, as do some valuers and land agents. St James shopping area is in the centre of Rototuna, with a Countdown supermarket, a gym and a Palmers Garden Centre.
Peacocke is a semi-rural suburb in southern Hamilton in New Zealand. Peacocke was brought into the city boundaries in 1989. It is one of the future urban zones of Hamilton, along with Rotokauri.
Hamilton Lake is a residential suburb of Hamilton, surrounding Lake Rotoroa and the Hamilton Lake Domain. Most of the housing in the suburb was built in the 1970s. The roads close to the lake are considered to be amongst Hamilton's premium streets.
River Road is a residential suburb of Hamilton, sited on the eastern bank of the Waikato River. The namesake road runs from Claudelands Bridge north to Pukete Bridge and beyond, to Ngāruawāhia, but the main part of the suburb is between Boundary Road and Donny Park. Properties close to the river are much more expensive than those further away. Most of River Road was shown on an 1865 map, though it was some years later before it was built and, by 1866, only one bridge had been built.
