Huss Township is a township in Roseau County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 145 at the 2000 census.
Huss Township was named for John Huss (14th century–1415), a Czech Catholic priest, philosopher, reformer, and master at Charles University in Prague. [3]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.4 square miles (94 km2), of which 36.4 square miles (94 km2) is land and 0.03% is water.
As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 145 people, 57 households, and 36 families residing in the township. The population density was 4.0 people per square mile (1.5/km2). There were 66 housing units at an average density of 1.8/sq mi (0.7/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 100.00% White.
There were 57 households, out of which 35.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.9% were married couples living together, 5.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.8% were non-families. 35.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 3.42.
In the township the population was spread out, with 30.3% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 22.8% from 45 to 64, and 15.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
