Ikeja Bus Terminal is located at Ikeja, the capital city of Lagos State. The bus terminal is located on the road to the local airport behind the present railway line in the city, and adjacent the state teaching hospital, ikeja general post office, all in the Computer Village neighbourhood.

The facility is sitting on a 10,000 square meter land space equipped with Intelligent Transport system (ITS), fully air-conditioned terminal, food courts, shops, ATM gallery, free WiFi, electronically controlled shades among others. According to reports, The Ikeja Bus terminal also has a large landmass for buses to park and load, large walk way for passengers, street lightning, rest rooms, control tower to monitor activities and greening with adequate exits. [1]

The bus terminal was commissioned by President Muhammad Buhari GCFR on 29 March 2018. In attendance were many other dignitaries starting from the Incumbent governor of the state Governor Ambode, former governor of the state Bola Ahmed Tinubu among others. [2]

The Ikeja bus terminal serves as the epicenter of all transport activities within Ikeja area which serves several number of passengers on daily basis and equally provide access to many destinations like Oshodi, Ojota, Iyana-Ipaja, Maryland, Lekki, Ogba, CMS amongst so many other places.

The government of Lagos state has committed to making the transport system of the metropolitan capital city with an estimated population of about twenty million inhabitants to be more organized and orderly. [3]

The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) is the Lagos State Government agency created to coordinate transport planning, policies, and public transport infrastructure implementation in the Lagos Metropolitan Area, Nigeria. The organisation oversees wide range of transport planning and implementation of transport strategies and plans in Lagos, as well as the Lagos Rail Mass Transit and the Lagos Bus Rapid Transit System. It is based in Ikeja.

Oshodi Transport Interchange is located in the Oshodi area of Lagos State, Nigeria. The bus terminal is located between the Lagos-Apapa Expressway and the Agege Motor Road. The Oshodi Bus Terminal is divided into three different terminals called: Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3.

Oyingbo Bus Terminal is located in Oyingbo Rd, Lagos Mainland, Lagos State, Nigeria. The Terminus is built at the centre of Oyingbo area and it shares boundaries with Yaba, Iddo and Ijora/Costain axis. Oyingbo Bus Terminal is the sister terminal to both the Oshodi and Ikeja Bus Terminals. The buses are fully air-conditioned and very convenient. The bus terminal is located at the heart of the busy Oyingbo market. Ease of accessing the island and other Mainland areas of Lagos by Bus is an advantage of the location of this bus terminal.

Mafoluku Bus Terminal is located in the vicinity of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja. The Mafoluku Terminal provides a means of connection to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) and the domestic wing of the airport, the terminal is also a gateway station that would serve Mafoluku, Oshodi, and Ajao Estate environs, providing bus connections primarily to Oshodi Transport Interchange, Ikeja Bus Terminal, Mile 2 and other parts of Lagos.

Yaba Bus Terminal is located along the Murtala Mohammed Way, Yaba Local Council Development Area in Lagos Mainland, an area of Lagos State, Nigeria. Yaba is a suburb which is located on the mainland in Lagos state. It has become a commercial, transportation, educational and entertainment hub. Yaba became an hub for various commercial activities, which has made it become a part of Lagos State Transportation Master Plan
