Indonesia International Book Fair (IIBF) is a book-publishing trade fair held annually in Jakarta, Indonesia. In addition to selling books, the fair acts as a gateway for publishers and writers to the international book market. It also holds seminars, discussions and book launches. IIBF promotes interactions between literacy activists, publishers, writers, librarians, artists, education practitioners, and other creative industries. The fair also arranges many events on literacy, education and culture. [1] The fair is usually held in September at Jakarta Convention Center.

History

The book fair is organized by the Indonesian Publishers Association (IKAPI) and was inaugurated as Indonesia Book Fair (IBF) in 1980. It was renamed Indonesia International Book Fair in 2014 in an effort to attract a global audience. Saudi Arabia was the first participant as a guest of honor country in 2014, followed by South Korea, Malaysia and China in 2015, 2016, and 2017 respectively. [2]

The 2014 IIBF was held from November 1 to 9. International participants were from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, China, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, Egypt and Pakistan. [3]

The 2015 IIBF was held from September 2 to 6. International participants were from India, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore and the Netherlands. [4]

The 2016 IIBF was held from 28 September to 2 October. Other than Indonesia, 12 countries participated the fair. [5]

The 37th edition of IIBF was held from September 6-10, 2017, at Jakarta Convention Center. The fair was participated in by 20 countries including the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, China, South Korea, Japan, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Bosnia, India, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Sixty-two participants from Indonesia, and 34 from 17 overseas countries took part 38th edition of IIBF, held from September 12 to 16, 2018. The theme of the fair was "Creative Work Towards the Culture Literacy". [9]

The 39th IIBF was held from September 4 to 8, 2019 at JCC and participated in by 25 countries. [10]

2018 Asian Games 18th edition of the Asian Games

The 2018 Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Asian Games and also known as Jakarta–Palembang 2018, was a pan-Asian multi-sport event held from 18 August to 2 September 2018 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang. The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) originally awarded the games to Hanoi, Vietnam in November 2012, but the hosting rights were given up seventeen months later. Indonesia, which originally finished second in the bid, was considered as the strongest replacement candidate and eventually awarded the rights amid the 2014 games. Surabaya, the city put forward during the bid, was replaced by Jakarta and Palembang, having hosted the 2011 Southeast Asian Games together.

The Second United Indonesia Cabinet was inaugurated on 22 October 2009, two days after the inauguration of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as President of Indonesia for the second term. His pen name, Gola Gong mean "gol" or "goal" is an expression of gratitude from his father when his series of novels entitled The Ballad of Roy published by HAI Magazine. Then the "Gong" is the hope of his mother, so that writing can be echoed to the sound of gong musical instrument. The letter "a" which means "all come from Allah". Thus, the meaning of the name "Gol A Gong" interpreted as "success all comes from God (Allah)".

2018 North Sumatra gubernatorial election

Art Jakarta is a contemporary art fair, held annually in Jakarta, Indonesia. The fair is usually held at Jakarta Convention Center at Senayan.The fair is organised by fashion and lifestyle magazine Harper's Bazaar Indonesia since 2009. Art Jakarta was previously known as Bazaar Art Jakarta. Artists, galleries, collectors, and art critics from all over the world participate in this fair. The fair already established as one of Southeast Asia’s most important art fairs.

The 2020 Liga 1, will be the fourth season of Liga 1 under its current name and the 11th season of the top-flight Indonesian professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 2008. The season is planned to start on 1 March 2020 and scheduled to end on 1 November 2020.

POPKI Sports Hall or commonly known as is GOR POPKI a multifunction sports arena in Cibubur, Ciracas, East Jakarta, Jakarta, Indonesia. This arena can be used for basketball, badminton, volleyball, futsal, and taekwondo venues.
