The Air Force Training, Education and Doctrine Development Command (Indonesian : Komando Pembinaan Doktrin, Pendidikan, dan Latihan TNI Angkatan Udara, abbr.Kodiklatau), is the Main Command for the Development of the Indonesian Air Force which is directly under the Air Force Chief of Staff. Kodiklatau is tasked with organizing first education, formation, development, specialization, transition and other education in order to improve the quality of Indonesian Air Force personnel and carry out the development of an education system, didactic, educational method, and aerospace science as well as fostering aerospace potential within the Kodiklatau and its staff. This command is led by a Commander with the rank of Air Marshal and Deputy Commander with the rank of Air Vice-Marshal.

The Indonesian National Armed Forces are the military forces of the Republic of Indonesia. It consists of the Army (TNI-AD), Navy (TNI-AL), and Air Force (TNI-AU). The President of Indonesia is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. As of 2023, it comprises approximately 400,000 military personnel including the Indonesian Marine Corps, which is a branch of the Navy.
The Indonesian Army is the land branch of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. It has an estimated strength of 300,400 active personnel. The history of the Indonesian Army has its roots in 1945 when the Tentara Keamanan Rakyat (TKR) "People's Security Army" first emerged as a paramilitary and police corps.
The Indonesian Navy is the naval branch of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. It was founded on 10 September 1945 and has a role to patrol Indonesia's lengthy coastline, to enforce and patrol the territorial waters and Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of Indonesia, to protect Indonesia's maritime strategic interests, to protect the islands surrounding Indonesia, and to defend against seaborne threats.
The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) uses a simplified ranking system for the three branches of Indonesian Army, Indonesian Navy and Indonesian Air Force. Most of the ranks are similar with differences for the rank titles of the high-ranking officers. Exception exists, however, in the ranks of the service members of the Indonesian Marine Corps. While Indonesian Marine Corps is a branch of the Navy, the rank titles of the Marine Corps are the same as those of the Army, but it still uses the Navy's style insignia.
The Indonesian Air Force sometimes shortened as IDAF / IdAF, is the aerial branch of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. The Indonesian Air Force is headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia, and is headed by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force. Its order of battle is split into three Air Operations Commands. Most of its airbases are located on the island of Java. The Indonesian Air Force also has its ground force unit, called Air Force Quick Reaction Force Command (Kopasgat). The corps is also known as the "Orange Berets" due to the distinctive color of their service headgear.

Dirgantara Mandala Museum, officially known as the Central Museum of the Indonesian Air Force "Dirgantara Mandala" is a central museum of the Indonesian Air Force. The museum displays historical exhibits related to the history of the Indonesian Air Force. It is located in the complex of Adisutjipto International Airport in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Dirgantara Mandala Museum has a comprehensive collection of aviation in Indonesia, from early biplanes to modern jet engines.
Puspomad or Army Military Police Center, which all of its personnel are part of the Military Police Corps (CPM) is one of the military general technical functions of the Indonesian Army which has the role for administering administrative assistance and as embodiment and guidance through the operation of Military Police functions. Its duties is basically to execute law enforcement towards the military which includes investigation activities and other policing duties within the scope of the army.
The Puspom TNI or Joint Military Police Center of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) is one of the central executive agencies within the TNI which has the role of administering administrative assistance to the army, navy, and air force as embodiment and guidance through the operation of Military Police functions. Puspom TNI oversees the three military police organizations which are the Army Military Police, Naval Military Police, and Air Force Military Police.
The National Air Operations Command is one of the Principal Operational Commands of the Indonesian Air Force that is responsible for air operations including air surveillance, early warning system, air supremacy, and air defense of Indonesian airspace. Koopsudnas plays a vital part for air defense capability of the Republic of Indonesia. This command is held by a three-star air force marshal.
The Indonesian Army and Marine Corps have several infantry brigades. These brigades normally consisted of about three infantry battalions. Currently the Army has 22 brigades and the Marine Corps has 4.
Indonesian Army Doctrine, Education and Training Development Command is an Indonesian Army Principal Command which is directly under the office of the Chief of Staff of the Army and located in Bandung, West Java. Its principal responsibility is the training of all service personnel of the Army to fulfill its primary responsibilities of national defense and civil-military cooperation in national development.
Air Chief Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo is an Indonesian air chief marshal who was Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force from May 2020 to April 2024.

Military Sealift Command has the responsibility for providing sealift and ocean transportation for all Indonesian military services as well as for other government agencies. It first came into existence on 1 July 1961 when the Naval Transport Department was established as the sole service responsible for the Ministry of Defense's ocean transport requirements for both peacetime and war.
Air Chief Marshal (Ret.) Elang Soerjadi Soerjadarma was the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces from 1959 to 1962 and the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force from 1946 to 1962.
The 1st Fleet Patrol Ship Force is part of the Indonesian 1st Fleet Sea Security Group Operations Unit and the Command for operational development under the 1st Fleet Command. The 1st Fleet Patrol Ship Force is responsible for developing the strength and combat capability of 13 warships under its command in the fields of maritime security, limited surface warfare, and limited air defense warfare. It also conducts personnel development to improve the skills and professionalism of its soldiers, as well as training development to enhance the combat readiness of its elements.
