The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (Indonesian : Kepala Staf TNI Angkatan Laut, abbreviated KSAL or KASAL) is the highest position in the Indonesian Navy. The position is held by the four-star Admiral or Marine General, appointed by and reporting directly to the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. Chief of Staff is assisted by Vice Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, position is held by three-star Admiral or Marine General. [1]

The Indonesian National Armed Forces are the military forces of the Republic of Indonesia. It consists of the Army (TNI-AD), Navy (TNI-AL), and Air Force (TNI-AU). The President of Indonesia is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. As of 2023, it comprises approximately 400,000 military personnel including the Indonesian Marine Corps, which is a branch of the Navy.
The Indonesian Navy is the naval branch of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. It was founded on 10 September 1945 and has a role to patrol Indonesia's lengthy coastline, to enforce and patrol the territorial waters and Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of Indonesia, to protect Indonesia's maritime strategic interests, to protect the islands surrounding Indonesia, and to defend against seaborne threats.

Hadi Tjahjanto is the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs under President Joko Widodo's Onward Indonesia Cabinet, replacing Mahfud MD due to his resignation. He is a former officer in the Indonesian Air Force who previously served as the 20th Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. An alumnus of the Indonesian Air Force Academy and Flight School, he was appointed by president Joko Widodo in 2017 as the Commander of the Armed Forces (Panglima).

Admiral (Ret.) Siwi Sukma Adji is a retired admiral of the Indonesian Navy who had served as its chief of staff since 23 May 2018 until 20 May 2020, replacing Ade Supandi who was retiring.

Indonesian Fleet Command is a naval combat force of the Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL), it was formed and inaugurated by the Commander of the National Armed Forces Gen. Andika Perkasa on 21 January 2022. The Fleet Command consists of three fleets, namely: 1st Fleet Command located in Tanjungpinang, 2nd Fleet Command located in Surabaya and 3rd Fleet Command located in Sorong. Mohamad Tony Harjono is an Indonesian air force officer who became the 24th air force chief of staff, serving since 5 April 2024. He graduated from the air force academy in 1992 and commanded several airbases and regional commands before being entrusted to lead the air force. He was a confidant of President Joko Widodo, having served as his aide-de-camp from 2014 until 2016 and military secretary from 2020 until 2022. Military observers identified him as part of the Solo Gang, a group of military and police officers whose career rose swiftly after serving in Surakarta, the hometown of Joko Widodo.
The Indonesian Cyber Force is a proposed future branch of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. It will be the Cyberwarfare arm of the TNI. The formation of the branch was ordered by the President Joko Widodo on 3 September 2024 and currently in preparation by the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, General Agus Subiyanto.
