The Indy Challenger, also known as the Rajeev Ram Foundation Indy Challenger, is a professional tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. Since its founding in 2022 by American professional doubles tennis player Rajeev Ram, it has been organized on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour and has been held at the Pearson Automotive Tennis Club in Zionsville, Indiana, a suburb north of Indianapolis. Nikola Mektić and Mate Pavić defeated Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury in the final, 6–4, 7–6(7–4), to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2021 Italian Open. The second seeds did not drop a set en route to their third ATP Tour Masters 1000 victory together and their sixth title overall of the season. The all-Croatian pair also became the second doubles team to have reached the finals of the first four Masters 1000 tournaments in a season after the Bryan brothers, who last accomplished the feat in 2018. Ram and Salisbury were competing for their first title of the season and their fourth title together.

Nikola Mektić and Mate Pavić defeated Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury in the final, 6–4, 6–3, to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2021 Eastbourne International. It was the top seeds' seventh career ATP Tour doubles title of the season and they saved five match points in their semifinal match against Lloyd Glasspool and Harri Heliövaara en route to the title.

Nikola Mektić and Mate Pavić defeated Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the final, 6–4, 7–6(7–5), 2–6, 7–5 to win the gentlemen's doubles title at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. It was their eighth title of the season, with Mektić winning his maiden major doubles title and Pavić winning his third. They became the first Croatian pair to win the title.

Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk defeated Joe Salisbury and Harriet Dart in the final, 6–2, 7–6(7–1), to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. It was Krawczyk's second consecutive major title in mixed doubles, following her success at the French Open.

2022 ATP Tour Mens tennis circuit

The 2022 ATP Tour is the global elite men's professional tennis circuit organised by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for the 2022 tennis season. The 2022 ATP Tour calendar comprises the Grand Slam tournaments, the ATP Finals, the ATP Tour Masters 1000, the ATP Cup, the ATP 500 series and the ATP 250 series. Also included in the 2022 calendar are the Davis Cup, Wimbledon, the Next Gen ATP Finals, and Laver Cup, none of which distribute ranking points.

Wu Yibing defeated Aleksandar Kovacevic in the final, 6–7(10–12), 7–6(15–13), 6–3, to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Indy Challenger. Wu saved six championship points en route to his third consecutive title on the 2022 ATP Challenger Tour.
