JW Marriott Marquis Miami is a luxury hotel located in downtown Miami, Florida, United States. The hotel is situated in the 1 billion dollar new Metropolitan Miami development Metropolitan Miami complex along with the Hotel Beaux Arts Miami.

Metropolitan Miami is a mixed-use development consisting of three completed skyscrapers, a fourth uncompleted building, and a lifestyle center in the central business district of Downtown Miami, Florida. The first phase was completed in 2008 with Met 1, a condo tower, and was followed by Met 2—which includes the Wells Fargo Center and JW Marriott Marquis Miami—in 2010. The third phase of the complex, Met 3 and Met Square, are currently under construction.

The hotel tower shares a parking garage with the adjoining 47-story office tower, Wells Fargo Center. The two towers were completed in October 2010. The first-to-market JW Marriott Marquis property has 313 guestrooms, including 56 suites, along with a broad array of amenities, including renowned chef-restaurateur, Daniel Boulud’s db Bistro Moderne. Offering a diverse setting for business, meeting and pleasure travel pursuits, the 41-story hotel features three concierge levels; 80,000-square-feet of total function space including a 20,000 sq. ft. Grand Ballroom; and a most unusual indoor sports, lifestyle and entertainment complexes in any hotel in the U.S. The 50,000-square-foot, two-story indoor facility includes an NBA-approved basketball arena, tennis court, Mariano Bartolome indoor Golf School, virtual bowling alley, billiards, Rina Yoga studio, enliven: a full-service salon & spa and much more.

It will become the region's business capital as well as a freehold city.

The Dubai government's decision to diversify from a trade-based but oil-reliant economy to one that is service- and tourism-oriented has made real estate and other developments more valuable, resulting in the property boom from 2004–2006. Construction on a large scale has turned Dubai into one of the fastest-growing cities in the world. There are a number of large-scale projects which are currently under construction or will be constructed in the future. Due to the heavy construction which is taking place in Dubai, 30,000 construction cranes, which are 25% of cranes worldwide, are operating in Dubai. Due to the burst of construction, Dubai has acquired various building-related records, which include: the world's tallest tower, the world's largest shopping mall, the world's largest fountain and the world's tallest hotel. Also under construction is Dubailand, which will be almost twice the size of the Walt Disney World Resort.

The San Francisco Marriott Marquis is a 133 m (436 ft) 39-story skyscraper in the South of Market neighborhood of San Francisco, California. Situated at the intersection of Fourth and Mission Streets, across from the Metreon and Moscone Convention Center, the building is recognizable by the distinctive postmodern appearance of its high-rise tower. The building was completed in 1989, and contains 1,500 hotel rooms. The original architectural firm Zeidler Partnership Architects was replaced by DMJM architect Anthony J Lumsden, who gave the building its overall architectural style.
